"Best hotel I’ve stayed in in the UK.
Everything was perfect, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotless and attention to details were lovely even a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge for hot drinks, lovely touch. The food was outstanding quality.
The bed was huge, the toiletries were plentiful and the housekeeping was perfect.
Although the hotel was very posh and of high standard we didn’t find you had to dress up if you didn’t want to.
The spa treatments were of high standard, my husband and I both h had massages with Alisia and I can say it was the best massage we have both ever had. Would definitely be returning.
Our only disappointment was to find the spa pool, steam room and jacuzzi had closed last year.
Thank you for such a superb stay just wish we could have stayed longer."
"Nice spa, nice renovations, shame the steam room wasn't working. The mens showers were cold. But other than that this was a nice hotel experience. The bedroom was a little small but well kept. The bar area and restaurant was well appointed and you can see nice refurbishment work had happened. The breakfast was excellent and worth the money. The location was quite good to access town with a short walk."
"The hotel is old (but interesting) and needs a lick of paint here and there but the room was very clean. Bathroom with shower very good. Very nice double bed too. Breakfast was buffet style, was good though no fruit. No problem with Wi-Fi. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Excellent location for eateries and seeing old Southampton. Good value and would stay there again. "
"Everithing good but, swimming pool is from 16+ age. Didn’t found age limit anywhere on booking. We choose this hotel because of the pool and at the end didn’t use because we were with younger kids. "
