The first time I used my key card to get into my room, it worked smoothly. I went back out to my car to grab a few things and (ten minutes later) the key card would not work. In a nutshell, it was not the card, it was the lock itself. It took staff 15 minutes to "pick the lock" to get me back into my room. (A few of my things were already inside.) They suggested that I not leave again, otherwise I would have to get a member of staff to "pick the lock" to let me back in my room. (In hindsight, I should have asked for a different room.)
An hour later, I called the front desk because the music in the room next to me was incredibly loud. (There was a driving bass beat that was incredibly annoying.) I called the front desk. (They remembered that I was the one who got locked out of my room.) The staff member said she would speak to the people in the room next door. If she did, it did not help. This incredibly loud music played for about 2 hours, taking a break now and then for 5 minutes.
I had come to Rock Hill to visit my late husband's grave. I was hoping for a quiet, reflective stay, and it was exactly the opposite.
