We arrived on a night after having survived a deluge on the highway. Pulling into the parking lot so close to the highway was a relief. Even more so was the warm welcome we received inside, where 2 young women greeted us and got us situated very quickly with an ease and good-naturedness that is not often seen. We found our room quickly and soon decided that we were not keen on going out into the night after receiving a Flood Warning alert.
Fortunately there were a few vegetarian offerings in the downstairs food area and before we knew it we had warmed up our dinner and sat comfortably in the dining room. Even though it was closed for the day, the young lady turned on the lights for us, and we made the best out of the situation. A HaagenDasz ice cream and an orange served as our dessert and we were happy campers.
We slept well in our bed. The room was quiet which was a blessing.
In the morning we found a plentiful breakfast of the usual hotel fare, but enough to keep us fed and happy. The gentleman in charge kept the offerings filled and was wiping tables and chairs down.
The hotel's decor and design and care to detail are unusual. So often one sees that the paint is rough and shabby, some corners dim, and the "same old same old" - not so here. The color palette is attractive and vibrant, and the rooms and open spaces are clean and carefully tended to.
So for location and value and cleanliness and uplifting decor - and, most importantly, great staff - I can recommend it!
