"The views are spectacular! We arrived on a sunny warm day. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the view. We were told there was no delivery in town, so we grabbed a pizza and enjoyed that in the patio, as well. The room was very comfortable. The sunrise was even better! We could see it right from our bed, so no need to even get up to see it! Would recommend!"

"Nice property, so convenient. Great view of the riverfront. Right next to the Mississippi River Museum and the Diamond Jo casino. Waterpark is very young focused, probably under 12, small but very nice. Breakfast was large and well stocked. "

2/10 Terrible
"Overall stay was horrible. Checking in front desk clerk was abrupt and rude. Did not get maid service at all for room. 1st night had to request fresh towels and someone brought some. Next day maid service came and asked them to come a little later was in shower and would be gone in 30 minutes.. Came back that evening room not cleaned nor any maid service. Contacted desk and told if we wanted clean towels had to come down from room and get them ourself. They said maid service was gone and nothing could be done. Front desk clerk made excuses and no effort to resolve. My friend travelling with me got upset at her over phone and she hung up.
Overall stay terrible. Restaurant attached to motel.was Old Chicago Pizza and Tap Room. It was closed and no effeort made to tell us. Went down for dinner and drink and found out that way.
NO MAID SERVICE, RUDE STAFF.
Will never stay there again or recommend it."
"I was able to go swimming with my two great-granddaughters during our one-night stay because checkout time was Noon, instead of 11:00am. I love that extra hour. We slept well in very comfortable beds and has a wonderful breakfast. Thank you. "
"You get what you pay for here. A place to sleep when you have been on the road all day. We were there for a friday and saturday nights so the place was packed. Our adjoining room had kids screaming and running around and the traffic sounds are really loud. your best bet is to get a room on the back side of the hotel rather than the side facing the highway. "
"Among B and Bs, the Four Mounds Inn beats them all hands down. As the former residences of an industrious family in Dubuque during the early 20th century, both the Main house (Grey house) and the son's Colonial-style home (White house) are living examples of ingenious architecture, style, grace and utility blended into structure and comfort that you can appreciate and enjoy. The endurance of the craftsmanship built into every room shows with every step you take on pristine 120+ year old hardwood floors. The property is part of the Dubuque park system and helps preserve the legacy with active youth education programs.
The staff provides excellent hospitality services with clean rooms and amenities. The coffee and Breakfast were wonderful. The view and trails overlooking the Mississippi River are peaceful and the grounds is home to woods and woodland bird species including Wild Turkey that stroll through the grass to feed. We appreciated a historical narration from caretaker "Willow" who along with her mom Dix manage the BnB portion of the estate.
We highly recommend the Four Mounds! "
