Really lovely staff. Rio is a little sketchy, the receptionist staff gave us lots of advice to stay safe. The hotel rooms were a good size and clean. They could do with more pool loungers. The breakfast was 10/10 and the coffee machine was an extra bonus

Economic stay at Copacabana

Closet and bedside tables had quite a lot of sawdust-like remainings of some animals and spider nets i.e. they weren’t cleaned for ages. Wifi was poor as well as ventilation: air was so wet that towel didn’t never get dry. Staff were nice and helpful and understood English. Easy access to the beach.

I spent a couple of days at Copacabana Mar Hotel, i found it very clean, with staff who are always available, very friendly, and ready to help and provide information. The location is perfect, allowing you to reach the beach or the metro in just a few minutes. As for the building, it is quite dated and would benefit from substantial renovation and modernization. The rooms are not particularly quiet, and the beds are not the most comfortable. The breakfast is good but could be improved with a wider selection of fruit and pastries.

The property was conveniently located next-door to a parking structure. The daily parking fee was reduced because we were staying at the hotel. There was a complimentary breakfast as well. The staff at the hotel were very nice and welcoming. My issue was with the room itself. The room was not maintained very well. The shower door does not close so water was all over the bathroom floor. There was mold in the shower, the bathroom mirror and in the bedroom. The pictures hanging over the beds also had mold under the glass in the frame. The air conditioning vent was dirty. The mini fridge was very dirty. The window opens all the way even though you are 12 floors up. It is not safe for children.

This hotel is ok for a one/two night stay. It is clean, but needs redecorating. Additionally, the WiFi is poor and there is poor cell reception in the building for day.

We stayed here for a night because the airline canceled our flight and we really needed wifi to change/book/plan reservations, but wifi does not work on the upper floors. There are 2 Peters that work here -1 is a good one and other is the rotten apple. I hope you all get the good one.

Great place, exactly what I needed for a quick stay in Rio budget wise. Wifi is a bit unstable and the elevator slow/busy which would be the only negative. Would definetaly stay again

Its an outdated hotel but you will be comfortable based on your needs. Had ac and hot water, wifi gave some trouble, but i would call for assistance and they aided as best possible. Having a Tv was of no use since none of the cable channels were in English. Its central, good for walking to anything u could need, food, grocery options, beach and ideal for some tour pickups. Staff is helpful and friendly.

There was just about no wifi in the room. I heard other people complaining too so it wasn't just my room. There was a charge to use the room safe. Unbelievable! I have stayed in 100 hotels and this is the first time that this has happened.

Não gostei do atendimento da recepção, não achei que fui bem atendido, funcionários ranzinzas. Pessoal do restaurante muito educado, mas faltavam variedades de alimentos. Quarto sem isolamento acústico, ouvia-se bem alto o casal ao lado transado. Parece que dividiram um quarto em doia, separados apenas por uma porta.
