Nicht nur die Unterkunft ist sehr gut, sondern auch die Kompetenz, Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit des (deutschen) Wirtes Karsten. Zudem bereitet Karsten ein vorzügliches Essen Und das, obwohl die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit 2 Stunden Pistenfahrt entfernt ist.

Nice welcome . In the middle of nowhere. Good dinner with our guest. Very noisy small birds walking on the roof of the accomodation.... difficult to sleep the whole night.

Excellent place to break the trip

The rest-camp is well placed for those who want to break their trip either north or south. Our host was very attentive, the food provided was good and the accommodation was comfortable and quiet. We appreciated the views from the hill behind the hut, though the surroundings are flattish and barren.

Es war ein sehr netter, aufgelockerter Service mit jeder Menge Informationen durch den deutschen Besitzer, der seit Jahrzehnten hier lebt und sich gut auskennt. Die Unterkunft ist einfach und zweckmäßig, aber alles vorhanden. Sogar ein frischer Blumenstrauß wartete im Häuschen auf uns. Und das Frühstücksbuffett war inklusive eines netten Gesprächs mit dem Besitzer über Land, Leute, Fauna und alles, was wir wissen wollten. Sehr nett, gerne wieder. Ideal für ein bis drei Nächte als Zwischenstopp!

Hervorragende Bungalows in sehr ruhiger Lage

Wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht, um eine Tour Richtung Sossusvlei zu starten und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Obwohl wir am ersten Abend erst spät angekommen sind, konnte Karsten uns nach vorheriger Abstimmung ein leckeres Abendessen zubereiten. Dies kam uns sehr entgegen, da in unmittelbarer Nähe keine Möglichkeiten bestehen, sich um Nahrung zu kümmern. Auch bei kleineren Angelegenheiten, z. B. mit unserem Mietwagen konnte Karsten uns weiterhelfen. Insgesamt war er sehr hilfsbereit und konnte uns mit seinem hervorragenden Wissen weiterhelfen und wertvolle Tipps geben. Den Aufenhalt empfanden wir als sehr angenehm und würden jedem ans Herz legen dort zu übernachten, wenn man nicht zwingend mitten im Geschehen und umgeben von großen Reisegruppen nächtigen möchte.

Très bon accueil du propriétaire, avec un repas très enrichissant pris avec l'ensemble des convives. Rien à voir avec l'ambiance aseptisée des lodges pour touristes européens fortunés. Les bungalows sont fonctionnels, on est perdu en plein dans la cambrousse, c'est très calme et isolé. Le centre d’intérêt le plus proche est le parc montagneux du naukluft 40 minutes de la.

Extraordinary host in an exceptional location

The simple chalets are very comfortable and clean. Good mattresses and warm showers. But the reasons to stay at Capricorn are the marvelously friendly host, great food and extraordinary setting in the midst of beautiful desert. It is about 2 hours to Sossuvlei and 30 minutes to great hiking the Naufkluft mountains.

Good stay in the desert

The place is great and has got everything we need. You get in touch to nature there, it does not have a city close, so take food with you, it has barbecue facilities, so be prepared to do a barbecue with a great sky full of stars. The owner is super nice and will help you to know more about Sossusvlei, wich is about 2:30 hours from the place, and it was the cheapest that I've found. The roads to get there were good and I had no problem with a small car. I enjoyed the fact that all energy is solar and sustentable. I would stay there again for sure.

Der Inhaber namens Carsten - ein Allround-Genie

Wer Luxus sucht und braucht ist hier verkehrt; Es ist alles da was jemand braucht der Namibia kennenlernen will ! Carsten macht fast alles möglich; Man hat vergessen, daß man sich in einer abgelegenen Gegend befindet, macht gar nichts - Carsten kocht und zwar ein Wildgulasch, Rote Rübensalat, Nachtisch -Grießpudding , so etwas gibt's nicht überall! Wir hatten einen platten Reifen - Reservereifen drauf und Carsten wußte wer, wie, wo einen weiteren Reifen hat - ultrawichtig in Namibia perfekt; Guten Rat gibt's gratis; und alles andere für kleines Geld;

Sehr schöne und preiswerte Unterkunft! Echt klasse

Es ist eine sehr schöne und einfache Unterkunft, mit allem, was man braucht. Sehr großer Pluspunkt: Man hat ein eigenes Gebäude (ist also vollkommen ungestört), was eigentlich nur bei besonders teuren Unterkünften der Fall ist. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut! Der sehr symphatische Besitzer ist ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit und seine Kochkünste sind sehr lobenswert!!! Diese Unterkunft können wir wärmstens weiterempfehlen!
