The hotel was great, food was amazing, staff were very friendly and helpful the resort is only 10mins away from Tropea, the resort does provide transportation to the train station.

This is not a LUXURY resort

This hotel is listed as a luxurious resort and while it has many amenities such as a spa that was wonderful and brand new and a great pool, much of it needs repairs and updating. They have no luxurious amenities in the room. The furnishings are inexpensive, plastic soap holders and plastic trash can old sheets that are thread bare and rough, towels that are worn and stained we had to ask for new. No towels at the pool or at the sub chairs. You have to rent them daily from the desk if you need towels. Inexpensive plastic bag of shampoo and bar soap. Nothing was luxurious. They offer a got cart to move you around the property to the beach but it’s very old. With torn seats and floor board. Some of The chairs and umbrellas were tearing or thin. The coperta in their restaurant was more than any in the restaurants in Tropea Our bed was sooo hard that i asked for a new room they said but madam you booked that room. I said i just asked for accommodation for three people I didn’t know the condition so the second day they brought me a bed topper. A thin mattress of sorts. I looked under the sheets a realized the first night i was sleeping on only a box spring and the mattress they brought was only about 3-4 inches thick so still not comfortable. And it was old. Our room had cracks in the shower and the furniture was like Ikea particle board stuff and had a headboard that was a piece of poster board with a printed design screwed to the wall

Worst mattresses ever

Honestly, the quality of the facilities just weren’t very nice and the logistics to get in and out of the room more challenging to say the least. The breakfast was good but the room had the worst mattresses I’ve ever slept off. The linens all need to be upgraded, the shower is the smallest shower ever.

Eine wahre Enttäuschung

Fake oder Betrug!? Wir haben ein Doppelzimmer mit Doppelbett und einem Bettsofa gebucht! Zuerst liess man uns an der Rezeption 1 h stehen, es waren keine anderen Gäste an der Rezeption. Dann teilte man uns ein Zimmer, eher ein dunkles Loch zu, das keiner Art und weise der Ausschreibung entsprach, Sofa war nicht vorhanden, Duschkabine defekt, Zimmer dunkel! Ein neues Zimmer wollte man uns nicht geben, null Kooperativ! Auf unser E-Mail wird nicht reagiert, Personal unkompetent sowie das Management, nach 2 Tagen reisten wir ab. Eine Quittung für die Touristen Gebühr wollten sie nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung nicht aushändigen. Uns wurde auch mitgeteilt an der Rezeption, wer nicht über sie bucht bekommt schlechtere Zimmer! Da frage ich mich schon, weshalb das Hotel Zimmer auf andern Plattformen anbietet

We enjoyed our stay and found it to be relaxing. The room was quite simple and the tv was quite small and hung on a wall but we weren’t there to enjoy watching tv. The surrounding areas of the hotel are beautiful and well maintained. The sea and the beach are amazing!

Ottimo posto per rilassarsi

Buona struttura, posizione ottima con servizio navetta per la spiaggia privata. Ristorante interno buono ma per le cene abbiamo optato (scelta suggerita) di andare a ristoranti a pochi km di distanza. Spiaggia molto graziosa e piscina comoda, ottimo posto per rilassarsi. Animazione e piano bar da rivedere

Très bon hôtel au personnel disponible et agréable

Hôtel à la vue paradisiaque sur la côte et le Stromboli + Vulcano. Plage rès propre et bien équipée avec excellents transats + chaises. Tranquille. Très bon petit déj. Reposant. Son des vagues.

Sehr saubere, ruhige Anlage

Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Gott sei Dank hatten wir Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht, das war eine unbezahlbar schöne Aussicht!!!! Unser Zimmer war eigentlich ein kleines Appartment mit 3 Schlafzimmer, aber sehr karg eingerichtet (z.B. sehr kleiner Fernseher im Eingangsbereich und nicht im Schlafzimmer, keine deutschen Programme, kein Fön im Bad) hat mich aber persönlich nicht gestört. Unser Bad war schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber wie gesagt, es war alles immer ordentlich und sauber!! Zum Strand gehts etwas steil hinab, aber das Hotel bietet einen individuellen Shuttleservice an, was auch einwandfrei funktioniert hat. Leider funktionerte das mit den Liegestühlen am Strand nicht so ganz. Pro Zimmer, so wurde es uns an der Rezeption gesagt, steht ein Liegestuhl, Sonnenschirm und ein Strandstuhl zu Verfügung, wenn man Pech hatte und die anderen Hotelbesucher schneller am Strand waren, musste man sich mit den Strandstühlen begnügen, da die Liegestühle alle von den anderen Gästen "besetzt" wurden. Fand ich persönlich unmöglich, aber ist halt typisch - die "Strandbesetzer"..... Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes, da habe ich mir durch die anderen Bewertungen mehr erwartet - guter Standard. Das Personal war auch immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich empfehle einen Mietwagen, weil in der Umgebung des Hotels nichts geboten ist.

Great location, very nice staf but rather basic room. Best beach in Italy just below the hotel, very clean beach - which is a rarity in South Italy. Good food too. Three star hotel with extras.

Tolle Anlage auf einer Anhöhe über dem Meer.

Die Bademeister sind sehr aufmerksam und mögen Kinder gerne! Das Meer ist glasklar. Manchmal siet man den Stromboli. Zum Meer kann man zu fuss gehen oder mit einem Golfkart fahren. Die Kinderbetreuung ist für eher kleinere Kinder geeignet.

Familienferien ok

Hotel ist abgelegen aber an einem schönen Strand. Mit Kleinkindern ist es aber dort schwierig zu baden, da das Wasser schnell Tief ist. Hotel herzig für Familien. Kinderclub und Animation vorhanden. Personal sehr hilfsbereit und nett.

Pænt hotel med store minusser

Det positive: Hotellet er såmænd hyggeligt nok, og der er rent og pænt. Personalet er såmænd også søde nok. Flere forstår dog ikke engelsk, hvilket er et problem, når de der kan tale engelsk har fri. Morgenmaden var efter italiensk standard også helt acceptabelt. Vores "lejlighed" var også stor med 2 soveværelser. Endelig er der en god strand med super lækkert badevand, og det er ikke et problem at få fat i hotellets liggestole. Det negative: Sengene var utroligt hårde. Det samme kan man sige om puderne i sengen.Samtidig er der ekstremt lyt, så du kan høre en hver stol, der bliver flyttet og følge med i et hvert toiletbesøg. Hotellet ligger også langt fra et supermarked og skal du købe lidt vand på hotellet skal du slippe en euro for ½ liter vand !! Endelig er der kun et lille bitte hotelkøleskab, så du ikke kan have andet end et par flasker vand eller øl stående.

Mare bello ma....

Iniziamo dalle uniche note positive della vacanza appena trascorsa. Il mare è di una bellezza unica, la costa degli Dei regala odori e colori unici che ti accompagneranno per tanto tempo. Le bellissime persone conosciute e parte dello staff aiutano a sdrammatizzare le lacune della struttura che rappresenta la vera nota dolente. Il resort è a picco sul mare ed è necessario utilizzare una navetta gratuita sempre a disposizione dalle 9 alle 20(grazie Nicola); qualche foto su internet però ingannava sulla vera posizione lasciando sperare ad un accesso più agevole e vicino. La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato era veramente piccola e datata. Nel bagno difficilmente ci si sta in due a meno che una persona non sia in doccia. La pulizia discreta, gli ultimi giorni il water era pieno di formiche. Sia chiaro, non tutte le camere sono cosi; ne esistono anche di nuovissime ma non è stato il nostro caso. Aria condizionata presente. Abbiamo optato per la formula B&B e alla fine della vacanza posso affermare " PER FORTUNA"!! Il rinomato e famoso chef Emiliano tanto esaltato anche sui Social network del resort in realtà è un cuoco di basso livello come confermato anche da altre persone che invece erano in mezza pensione. Ci siamo "deliziati" dei suoi piatti solo due volte pagandoli tra l'altro uno sproposito in relazione alla qualità e quantità. Pleasant hotel complex near the sea.

We picked this hotel because it was advertised with most if not all rooms with kitchenette. When we enquired about the level of facilities and equipment provided for self catering, kept getting vague answers to our queries until finally we were told that from this year kitchenette facilities had been removed from all but just one superior room and we had to use the hotel restaurant. We contacted Expedia about this because we had only made this booking because of kitchen facilities advertised on their and Hotel Tonicello website. Expedia, very kindly helped us secure the room with the kitchenette. But there was an extortionate €20 daily charge for the use of the kitchen! On arrival we found the only light bulb in the lounge/kitchen so dim that it was impossible to read or cook after dark! We were promised it would be looked into. Nothing happened! The small TV was mounted about 8 feet up and was actually fitted incorrectly pointing upwards to the ceiling. But after the response we had with the low powered light bulb we did not bother to complain! Apart from this it was very pleasant and clean. All the staff were very friendly, reception, cleaning staff, the buggy drivers.

All good, except the standard room.

The pool, garden, beach, breakfast and staff where all great... the only problem was our "standard" room. It felt like we were in a an army barracks. While the size was fine, it was barren without a hint of warmth or care. The front room was empty with a table up against the wall on one side and a small TV on the other side. There was not a single decoration on the hospital-white walls. Once we stepped out of our room, everything was fine. The pool was beautiful and well kept. The shuttle service down to the beach was perfect. The beach was clean and there were plenty of umbrellas and chars available. The staff was always polite and helpful. With a small investment into making the rooms nice, this could be a nice place to stay.

Schönes Hotel fürs Badevergnügen

Wir waren Ende April hier. Für´s Baden war es dazu ja noch zu frisch. Das Wasser war aber wunderbar klar. Schöner Strandbereich mit Sand. Steiler Weg zum Strand. Man kann sich aber mit Elektroscootern fahren lassen. Wir haben mehrmals im Hotel gegessen. Waren da aber me.ist die einzigen Gäste. Von der Qualität her guter Durchschnitt. Manko: Die Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer. Man hört jedes Stühlerücken in den Nachbarzimmern. Laute Klospülung. Wir hatten Superiorzimmer.

Wundervolles Hotel für Familien wie Erholungssuche

Das Hotel ist gut erreichbar mit dem Auto, jedoch nicht leicht zu finden. Der Pflegezustand ist gut. Hervorzuheben ist die wunderschöne Parkanlage: vielfältig, viele Obstbäume, nicht steril. Man spürt, dass der Besitzer Naturliebhaber ist. Die Wirkung ist überraschenderweise sogar eher exotisch als nur mediterran. Die Bebauung ist niedrig, EG + OG, auch in der Nachbarschaft keine "Betonbunker". Zum schönen Strandbereich gibt es einen erheblichen Höhenunterschied: wenn es zu beschwerlich ist, wird man auf Wunsch mit Golfwagen gefahren. Es ist sehr ruhig und auch in der direkten Umgebung gibt es keinen Trubel. Die Anlage ist auch bestens für Kinder geeignet. Dem Besitzer gehört auch eine Farm in der Nähe und versorgt auch das Hotel mit Lebensmitteln sowie eigenen Spezialitäten. An der Rezeption garantiert eine hier lebende Deutsche für mühelose Kommunikation. Das mit Abstand beste Hotel auf unserer einwöchigen Rundreise durch Kalabrien!!!
