The hotel is old. The hotel is very clean. The food in the Agave restaurant is delicious. We came from McAllen to a procedure at Santander Hospital and we walk two blocks to the hotel…. Pharmacy are close and lots of doctors too. The border is very close too ( walking)

Our stay was okay the buffet for the morning breakfast was the overall amazing that’s what keep us happy the people from there restaurant was so kind and friendly. But the hotel it’s self was not as we thought!!! The staff in the front was not friendly at all she didn’t seem like she wanted to help. Overall the hotel room smelled nasty like sewer and the room Wasn’t in good condition. But the hotel driver was very nice and polite! Also they did a good job on keep vehicles safe and the gate was close to prevent theft! So that’s something to take into consideration! But I hope they improve with maintenance for the room because those room smell nasty I couldn’t really sleep. Also improve with front desk staff.

Going in was a beautiful building, front desk seemed friendly, and the restaurant attached to the hotel looked Lovely. Up until I checked in. I get my room key go in my room, TV doesn’t work, door doesn’t lock, they can’t change me to a new room. The staff mentioned they can send someone to fix the lock, no once came. Hours pass and I get hungry. I decided to do the smart thing and stay in the hotel bc keep in mind you’re in REYNOSA. I go into the restaurant in the hotel, Agave. Im told to seat myself so I do. I can’t feel eyes staring quite a bit. I ignore it unless it’s the waiter. He ask basic questions, what to drink. I get a NORMAL lemonade. I after taking a few sips I get a bitter tart aftertaste like some cleaning products. I believed it was probably dish soap or lousy dishwasher detergent. I get my food. I get tacos and they’re plain as can be with no seasonings in it at all. I can’t finish it only ate two bc I was starving. I drank HALF of my lemonade and still noticed a particular gentleman starting. I ignored him up until he came up to my table and looked at my dish then straight up stared at me. Only thing I did was a polite yet confused smile. He walks off. I start to feel uncomfortable so I pay and walk back to my room.I start to feel like I’m on an elevator as I’m walking and everything starts to spin. My legs are wanting fold. I get to my room and I’m nearly loosing consciousness until I make myself throw everything I consumed up.I stayed up until I left at7am
