Breakfast is really nice! Reception staff is very helpful and friendly. We booked a room with double bed, it is clean but too small for 2 ppl, no space to open our luggages! The wire of electic boiler is too short that i need to place it on floor. Nevertheless, overall it is satsifactory~

This property is in the middle of the city so the location is perfect. However, parking is an issue. Staff were very helpful though in directing us to a parking garage that was close and was very reasonably priced. The hotel set-up is a bit odd with a main building and an attached building.

The positives: Great location, decent sized rooms (including some multiple bedrooms suites). Negatives: Almost no facilities (there is a little bar we discovered near the small lobby), mediocre breakfast, rooms are pretty basic for the price….but then, everything is very expensive in Iceland. There is no parking other than on the street, which is free overnight but not cheap or easy to find during the day.

A great boutique hotel. We had an “apartment “ room. It had kitchenette, large bathroom, and separate bedroom off the main room. Very clean. We experienced no noise. We were not on the street side (which is a pedestrian only street). The breakfast buffet was terrific. All kinds of cold choices. Tasty and enough to be filled too. Highly recommend.

The location was good, near many restaurants, attractions and shops. The negative side was buses and taxis are not allowed on the street the hotel is located in. The room we stayed in was located in the back and there were several steps to climb with our luggage. Also we stayed there on a weekend and it was very noisy at night, many bars open late.

We stayed at Hotel Fron on two separate nights- one at the start of our trip and one at the end. I booked a two bedroom apartment both times. Our first night we were put in a three bedroom apartment, which was wonderful! Since we arrived via redeye earlier that morning, the three bedroom allowed each of my kids to have their own room to get good sleep. Our second night we were put in a two bedroom apartment. The bedrooms in both apartments were comfortable. We were able to check in early on the day we needed to. Front desk staff was efficient. I reserved parking by emailing the hotel a few months prior to our stay and it was so helpful to not have to worry about finding a spot. Breakfast was good- very different from an American continental breakfast but we all found something we liked. All in all, two great stays at Hotel Fron!

Perfect location. Everything is walkable. It took us a bit to figure out where to find street parking close by. Beds were not comfortable & the shower had little water pressure. Does offer breakfast.

Nice hotel in the downtown core. Nice kitchen. The shower water smelled very strongly of sulfur so that will get time to get used to. Otherwise everything else was up to standard. Did wish however though the hotel room had more lights.

Enjoyed the stay thoroughly. And the food at the Scandinavian (attached family restaurant) was exceptional!!! Street parking seems like an issue at first thought - but it’s easy, and also free after 9 at night for at least 12 hours.
