This experience was a little different in that we never met any staff at the facility. They leave you a key in a lockbox which was easy to use. The bathrooms are not in the hotel room. They are in a different hallway but each private and VERY clean. We didn't really mind it at all. Our room had a weird slant on one side so we kept bumping our heads on the ceiling there, as the head of our beds were on that slant side too. The hallways can get noisy when people are walking through as we were on the second floor and the kitchen/coffee area was also on the second floor. But it was convenient to stay there to be there for an early morning flight out of KEF the next morning.

Hotellet ser bättre ut i verkligheten än på bilder. Vårt rum var varmt och bekvämt och delade toaletter och duschar var rena. Barnen gillade lekrummet. Vi gillade också det gemensamma köket. Kort gångavstånd till centrum och havet.

Blue Viking was clean, check in was easy. It is a short walk to trails by the ocean. The room was clean, beds were comfortable & cozy. I was not sure what to expect with the shared bathroom, but that worked out well, there are 8 individual bathrooms in the central part of the property that are clean & you have to yourself. The property is close to the airport. The local town is cute. We would definitely come back to this property again. Great experience.

Great showers and few hot choc!
Absolutely perfect for a family before flying early the next day. Kids loved the free hot chocolates. The individual showers were clean and the room was perfect. Thank you!

It is a great place to stay to catch the morning flight. They reserved a taxi for us. the taxi arrive on time next morning. It took less than 10 minutes to the terminal ( $13). This hotel is new and the shared bathrooms were very clean.

Nice place; good value for money and very handy for the airport. Our 3am taxi did not turn up (not the fault of the hotel but just to warn people); we walked instead.

Conveniently located, not far from a bus stop, shopping and dining area. Small town, but worth visiting. Bathrooms were super clean and the beds were some of the comfiest we have slept in during our trip through Iceland.

Blue Viking was a great place for my family of 5 (kids aged 10, 12, 13) to stay on the night before our flight out of Iceland. It was very clean and convenient to the airport - and we made good use of the 'free food' area in the common kitchen! My only concern was the low ceilings in the room were a little troubling for my very tall husband.
