"We stayed in this hotel for 2 days because of the weather and its closer to the airport. The TV not working and the staff was trying to move us in a smaller room that was totally different from the price we paid. The staff is not friendly."

"TV was not working on the first day. Called up the hotel and they changed our room at the same day. Free parking on the premises and overall a good holiday stay. Only thing to consider is that your nearest food shop is like 5-10 minutes drive away. But the pizza place near it (Forsettin) had the most absolutely divine pizzas we've ever had. "

We were looking for something that captured the spirit of our time in Iceland, and its location near the coast and close to a landmark made it feel especially meaningful. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable and restful stay—simple, thoughtful, and just right after a full day of exploring. The highlight of our visit was dinner at their restaurant, Eos Table. The setting is casual, but the flavors are anything but. Every dish felt elevated and intentional, and the service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and personalized throughout the evening. We started with the fried camembert appetizer, which was a standout, and then enjoyed the fish and chips and fish tacos. The fish and chips were perfectly executed—light, crisp batter with just the right amount of crunch, allowing the freshness of the fish to truly shine. (You know how sometimes the batter overpowers the fish? Not the case here at all.) We were too full for dessert, but ended the meal with lattes that were just as impressive. My husband ordered a mocha latte, and you could immediately tell it was made with real chocolate—no artificial syrups, just rich, authentic flavor. The décor throughout the hotel was cozy and thoughtfully done, with touches that felt distinctly Icelandic and inviting. We truly loved our stay and would absolutely return. "

"Great spot and cabin. FYI - I thought that the kitchen and fridge was in the cabin but it’s in a separate community cabin. Enjoyed my stay and would come back. "

"Lovely hotel with very convenient car hire nearby, and the hotel also offers a shuttle service. The breakfast is good, and the restaurant serves very nice dinners. We had ribs and duck—both were great comfort food. The Icelandic drinks taste great, and the water is truly something unique to the country. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you."

"Believe it or not- there was no COLD water- so they allowed us to shower in the spa. The airport closed down the night we were there and the staff worked so hard to get everyone taken care of."

"Do not sleep on Max’s restaurant. The sauna is also very much worth the upgrade/extra. Breakfast is good, but not indicative of how spectacular dinner can be. "
