River Leven Just upstream of Renton. The river forms a big loop here with a narrow neck. Using the cycle path you leave the river and within a few metres rejoin it again after cutting the neck of the loop.

The Lade at Dalquhurn (exposed culvert). While the first half of the Lade (as reckoned from its intake), has long been exposed (1068180), this outflowing half has long been covered by buildings. At the time that this photograph was taken, the part of the Lade shown here had temporarily been exposed as a result of demolition work in Dalquhurn; it will presumably soon be covered again by subsequent construction work at that site. The houses in the background are in the Tontine area of Renton.

Central location great for exploring the city, we had one of the rooms on the 7th floor with a balcony and wonderful views of the city which was a treat. So nice to start the day with a coffee made in the well supplied kitchen. Immaculate clean bathroom and super comfortable bed.
