Overall, the hotel was very nice!
Breakfast was decent, although the woman running it seemed a bit grouchy. The weekday appetizers and drinks were a nice touch, and the gentleman hosting that was so kind!
One thing I didn’t love was the lack of an option to skip housekeeping or a "Do Not Disturb" door hanger. My daughter was sick, and despite repeatedly asking them not to clean, staff kept knocking. Even after I declined, someone would show up again about an hour later. When her fever finally broke and we stepped out for a bit, we came back to a cleaned room — not sure how they knew we had left.
My biggest complaint: I chose the "pay at the site" option, but was charged nearly $1,200 for a room that should have cost $597. I had to speak with someone three times to get it corrected, and now I have to wait 3–5 business days for the refund. Thankfully, I used a credit card. If I had used my debit card, I would have been out a significant amount of money during my trip.
Just a heads-up: keep a close eye on your card for any unauthorized charges.
