"We have a great little (but not cramped) oceanfront room with a balcony! We appreciate the amenities, like the microwave and refrigerator. Laundry room that takes credit cards. Comfortable loveseat and desk chair, good lighting, contemporary decor. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming and we're responsive to requests. Housekeeping is very present. We appreciate that the room is not only pet friendly but allows cats, which is a main reason we chose this hotel. And not just certain rooms are let friendly, like at some hotels. Appreciate having a full service restaurant downstairs, where we enjoyed two meals, with a view of the boardwalk and beach. They serve gourmet Nightingale ice cream sandwiches from Richmond, VA, which are sooo good! The free breakfast buffet was nice and what you would expect, except that there was a regular waffle iron AND a mini four-waffle waffle iron, as well as some tasty waffle toppings. No problem parking or finding a luggage cart. At 10th Street, we're not in the middle of everything, but we're on the boardwalk and the trolley stops at the next block. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach. Bring your own beach towel, because they are not provided."

"Virginia Beach was just ok, nothing spectacular. Every restaurant was sticky from the floors to the tables, ants on plates, the people were like night of the living zombies. I crossed this off my list. The hotel served its purpose."

"The property was clean and smelled nice. Our suite was also very clean with plenty of clean towels and pool towels. Our tub was clogged and immediately they sent maintenance to fix it. Everyone was exceptional on the day shift. No bugs were observed. My complaints are the beds were brick hard, pillows sucked, and hot water wasn’t very hot, but property was completely booked. Shout out to housekeeping! If no one else thanks you for the work you do, I am. Thank you housekeeping for providing clean rooms and to all staff for being gracious. "

"Excellent customer check-in. People seem to genuinely enjoy working here - and for a holiday weekend that's saying something! Parking was easy. Even though our room wasn't ready when we arrived (early - like 12 noon - I get it), the front office lady checked us in, welcomed us, gave us our parking pass, explained that we could access all the amenities (exercise room, pool, etc.). I like that the pool has designated adult swim times (2 hours in morning; 2 hours in evening), so it's not overrun with unsupervised kids all day. The jacuzzi/hot tub area was a little small (ie, six adults max - and that was elbow-to-elbow). Location is not directly on Boardwalk, but we knew that beforehand. We Website provided accurate information. We had an ocean view balcony and were able to see the beach, boardwalk, Waterman's seafood restaurant. Even saw the sunrise from the balcony. Room was very clean and well furnished. Lots of shelves and cubbies and even a rack for shoes in the closet. We didn't use the kitchenette, but it was well-stocked and included dish soap, sponge, dishwashing pod. There is a linen exchange service on the 4th floor during business hours if you need to swap out towels. They also advertised a complimentary laundry service on the 4th floor, but we did not use it. Ice machine was full loaded, though a bit far from our room. The Roma Pizza restaurant in the lobby was great - good food, wine, beer, friendly service, plenty of clean seating indoors and out. "
