we actually did not stay. The place is so musty , the carpets dirty. It was like a mausoleum out of a horror movie. Felt like an overstocked neglected antique place. However, the front desk clerk was kind and refunded our money.

Matelas plutôt dur, mais un endroit unique, comme un musée rempli d'objets, de photos, témoignant de l'histoire du lieu. C'est un séjour dans un hôtel d'une autre époque, où on se sent vraiment comme un invité et non comme un client. C'était notre second séjour à ce charmant hôtel et nous nous sommes assurés d'y être un samedi soir pour profiter de la prestation musicale des Inn-Mates, le groupe maison de l'hôtel, comme recommandé par le propriétaire l'an dernier La soirée n'a pas déçue. Je recommande cette expérience hôtelière unique.

It was unique as there are no appliances or tv in rooms but are made available in another area if needed. It is clean, comfortable nicely decorated with antique decor and historical memorabilia of the Inn. The manager was very nice and welcoming.

The man who runs this property shouldn’t be running anything remotely related to a business. I called him 4 times to let him know that we would be arriving very late as we’re driving from Toronto straight to his Inn. The first 2 times I called, he asked me to call him back later because he was busy. The 3rd time I called? He explained that self check-in was an option regardless of how late I arrived - he would leave a key out for us. The day of, I called again to let him know exact time of arrival and still he was fine with us arriving after midnight. Between traffic and rain, we arrived after 3am and there was no key to be found. Once we located him, he was yelling at us, saying we didn’t tell him we’d be late and he was not obligated to honour our booking. He told us to leave and go elsewhere at 4am in the middle of nowhere. My husband is a saint for being patient and kind to a man who was so miserable, he forgot to be human. I paid for the room before even going into it, and needless to say, left exactly at 10am to avoid any more interactions. Please book at your own risk because this man lacked basic human decency and respect. Pretty sure he’s 10 shades of sexist too with the way he spoke to a woman when he could have just politely told us to leave and not bother staying at his inn. As inconvenient as that would have been for us, at least he would have been respectful and kind. Waste of money staying at this place, will never ever recommend to even my worst enemy.

Historic property, in its day was beautiful by photos. Initial response upon seeing it was shock….but we were open to giving it the chance it deserved, as I read good reviews.

The owner of the Inn is very friendly and knowledgeable of the history of the building and area. The room is kept very clean and the bed is comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Facilities were clean and the owner Don was fantastic. So much memorabelia around the hotel, it was like a timewarp in the best way. I would go back here again and again.
