Reculver Country Park Tours

The ruins at Reculver are managed by English Heritage but are free to visit. Originally a Roman fort built against Saxon raids. Later an Anglo-Saxon monastary before becoming a parish church in the 12th Century. Fine views and lovely walks along the coast. There is a local pub for refreshments too!

June 2010 Reculver Abbey on the North Coast of Kent. Situated on the seafront, the ruins of the abbey command great views across the sea.
