「Great location. The hotel is almost next door to the railway station. The room is clean, warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no lift and the staircase is very narrow, which made carrying four suitcases upstairs a real challenge.」

「Lovely clean and well maintained room. Staff very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was just continental (toast and jam/nutella, cereal, fruit and flavoured yoghurts) but as I'm diabetic they went out shopping and got me plain yoghurts and marmite for low sugar options.」

「Excellent hotel set in beautiful Shropshire countryside. Every aspect of our one night stay was brilliant from room to food to service. I cant' recommend this hotel highly enough!!」

「The staff were lovely with nothing too much trouble. The food was superb in an amazing dining room with proper tablecloths and napkins ! This is a wonderful 800 year old castle with no lift so, if you have walking difficulties, ask for a room on the first floor. The public rooms are magnificent but the bedrooms, while perfectly comfortable, would benefit from being brought up to date. Anyway, all in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we shall be sure to return. 」
