Rob and Anna were so welcoming. There was breakfast in the fridge and a phone for us to use. The place is well maintained and has lots of outdoor seating. The laundry facilities were easy, bikes available, pizza oven and barbecue available. We couldn’t have asked for more really

Such a lovely place! We felt very welcome there and had a very great stay! Wouldnt stay anywhere else on the island as the daydreamer has everything we need. Such lovely scenery and the place is so well maintained. Thanks alot for having us we will be back in no time!

Lovely intimate hideaway in beautiful gardens. Everything you could need for a stay. Kayaks, bikes and plenty of snorkelling gear. Laundry. Drying racks. Loved there was a blender in the kitchen. Lovely hosts who were super friendly and helpful - beats a big resort hands down

Daydreamer Awesome!
Great location although a scooter or car makes your trip much easier and better, awesome hosts, helpful and fun, loved staying at Daydreamer, small resort so everything is easy, free kayaks and snorkels to use. We would definitely recommend to everyone. Better than the pictures show.

We loved the resort is small in numbers, only 7 units I think, awesome helpful hosts in Rob and Anna, great location but definitely have a easier holiday if you rented a scooter or car. Loved it, would recommend to everyone.

Delightful Daydreamer Resort
Julie, Paul and Angel made us feel so welcome - excellent hospitality. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Very comfortable rooms with everything you might need for a self-catering option. Beautiful gardens, decks, patios and pool area with great quality outdoor furniture. Close to great beaches (left for 5 min walk to beach in front of Vaima restaurant - great coral and fish; right and it's an 8 min bike ride to the Rarotongan Resort beach - gorgeous also!) for snorkelling and swimming. Resort bikes were very handy to get around. A bit of road noise but in general felt like a very tranquil place to stay. Unlike other Raro places very quiet re: rooster noise! No dramas at all from start to finish. Loved the little extras like free first breakfast supplies and fresh fruit dropped off to us to use. New favourite places to eat and drink - Charlies (fab live music) and Vaiana's (beautiful beach bar).

Quaint wonderful place
Our stay at the Rarotonga resort has been amazing, from check-in to check out it just got better. We stayed in room number two which is the one bedroom. Plenty of room for the two of us with a well equipped kitchen. Bed is super comfortable. Patio area was a great spot to spend the day. Very close to a supermarket. A great beach with excellent snorkeling is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the resort. Rob and Anna are a excellent source of information on things to do and places to eat on the island. The resort is very comfortable and meeting new people is one of the great aspects of he daydreamer. If you're thinking of staying at the Rarotonga resort, think no more just book it.

Daydreamer Resort is a fantastic place to stay. Spacious very clean apartment, large private deck area, beautiful well kept gardens and grounds. Anna and Rob, the owners, were very knowledgeable and helpful with great recommendations for snorkeling, food etc. Would happily return to this beautiful resort.

We loved our stay at the Daydreamer - felt like our own private slice of paradise! The tropical garden is gorgeous and really well looked after. Anna and Rob are great hosts and Angel does a great job at housekeeping. From the moment we checked in we felt relaxed and well cared for. Anna's breakfast for our first morning was amazing, and lasted us a few days - the bread was YUM - send some over please :) They gave us great advice for activities to do around the island and where to go for good meals...although our unit was well equipped if we wanted to eat in and the outdoor BBQ area is great. We stayed in the two bedroom unit which was spotless and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. PS - The beach across the road is a great spot for kayaking and snorkeling - just take your reef shoes and kayaks+snorkels from the resort! We hope to be back soon x

Intimate boutique lodging in a friendly environmen
This is a really nice small and casual place to stay. Friendly owners and guests provide an intimate and relaxing experience. Beautiful grounds, nice pool, sweet dog Miss Lulu. BBQ griddle available outside with communal gatherings a plus. Highly recommended.

The owner operator greeted us in a very friendly manner on our arrival. We were given instructions on how everything worked . The gardens were immaculate . It was disappointing that there was no clear pathway down to the beach. The facility was more like a motel with very attractive grounds and a swimming pool. Enjoyed our stay there.

We chose this resort because it was small, only 6 apts, had bikes, kayaks and snorkeling gear, a pool, apts were large and there was a couch in the lounge and plenty of outdoor furniture.

We loved our trip to Rarotonga and staying at Day Dreamer was the icing on the cake. We arrived late at night and Anna had arranged for us to picked up from the airport. In our fridge was freshly made bread and our breakfast which we hadnt expected. Anna and Rob were perfect hosts and helped us decide how to spend our time on the island. We loved their rescue dog Lulu who would come to visit each day. The roosters and chickens kept us amused. We were a five min walk to Wigmore's supermarket and could walk to restaursnts. It was nice to be able to relax by the pool in the beautiful tropical gardens.

Daydreamer is conveniently located halfway between Avarua and the tourist hub of Muri, with easy access to the lagoon. It provides privacy, and the comforts and convenience of living in an apartment. The hosts could not have been more helpful.

Small boutique property set in beautifully landscaped gardens all surrounding the pool. Each villa has its own wicker loungers, table and chairs. Rooms are kept very clean. Rob and Anna are lovely hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Although this property is not right on the beach, it is just over the road. Central to Wigmores superstore and the rarotongan resort.

Rob and Anna absolutely spoiled us, with homemade bread, breakfast on the first day, fresh bananas and coconut. The unit was lovely and serviced everyday. And the housekeeper Angel, does an stunning job. I was in the navy and she really keeps things very clean and well presented. The only downside about Rarotonga in general, was the lack of aircon. Even so, we absolutes loved our stay. Thanks Daydreamer, you really are the friendliest resort on the island.

Wonderful daydreamer resort
From meeting us at the airport to the end of our stay ,we could not fault the hospitality ,the resort was stunning beautiful garden and pool area .Passion fruit growing in the garden , nothing was too much trouble for Rob and Anna and a delight to meet their lovely boxer doggie.Rob and Anna gave us lots of lovely suggestions about the Island ,where to eat ,best snorkelling etc ,we hope to return one day .

The Rarotonga Daydreamer Resort is a lovely place to unwind. Rob and Anna, the owners, are so friendly and helpful - it makes your stay that much more personal and relaxing. There is no pretentiousness here. Having an apartment allowed us the freedom of eating in, using the BBQ, fully-stock kitchen and large fridge provided - or eating out - depending on how much we felt like moving. Having Wigmore's Supermarket 800metres away was a plus! Rob and Anna gave us the bikes to use - we didn't hire a car or scooter - so we were able to ride around the island, along with a mobile phone, which we didn't utilise but nice to know we had the option! The Daydreamer is 1km away from a fantastic snorkelling spot, so that was a 'go to' for us. We usually had the swimming pool to ourselves every day, as most people ventured off-site - same with the beach the resort is opposite. When our taxi didn't turn up to take us to the airport (11pm) Rob kindly jumped in his car and drove us - AWESOME service! Can't say enough good things about this place and the owners - so friendly, personable and relaxing. Definitely planning a return trip :D

The property is clean and safe. The rooms are spacious. Most fans work but do get a bit noisy on full. The roosters are definitely the most annoying thing! But the communal area, BBQ, and pool are amazing! All the outdoor furniture is clean and comfy! The beds are also comfortable. The curtains could be a bit longer to cover the gaps. We loved our stay here. The beach across the road is also fab for snorkeling and kayaking.

Slice of heaven
Well. Where to start?? I am not used to reviewing so I’ll just be honest. The hosts (Rob & Anna). Awesome people. They both came to check we were ok when we arrived. Very nice people who are very well suited to owning the Daydreamer. They didn’t even mind when I temporarily lost one of their complementary kayaks. (I promise to send you a new paddle from NZ).We borrowed their 2 bikes (again complimentary) and circumnavigated the island. Great. It took about 3 hours. Easy easy easy to talk too. Nothing was too much trouble and they were available 24/7. They even lent us a complimentary cell phone so we could call them if we needed anything when out and about. These guys made our holiday for us. The house maid. Angel. Wow. This woman is a machine. The place was immaculate and she was extremely friendly too. The apartment. Everything you would expect from a high end resort. Heaps of room. Big lounge area, great kitchen and bathroom. NO complaints. We even had our own clothes line area, bbq, additional private outside bath and shower too. The pool area. Very well designed and decorated area with awesome lighting at night. These guys have great local knowledge and they sent us to all the best beaches, restaurants and tourist spots. Location. 5 min walk to the shops and car hire. Very close to the beach. Close to restaurant. Quiet and secluded. I think that will do. Not bad for a 1st review aye?

We loved our stay at Daydreamers resort..very clean tidy and Rob and Anna very friendly and very helpful. The only thing if i had to say is the pillows didnt suit me apart from that it was awesome stay...

Delicious Stay at The Daydreamer
My son and I spent a week at the Rarotonga DayDreamer Resort in July. It was our 6th time in Raro and we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and the new owners/managers have thought of everything a guest could possible need or want. We sincerely appreciated the eco-friendly aspect of this establishment too as we try to live sustainably at home but it can be a challenge whilst on holiday. I'm a cook and the I travel I like to cook like a local so having a full kitchen plus the BBQ outside was absolutely perfect - I made rukau, fresh tuna cooked in banana leaves, roasted taro etc etc...oh and the in-room blender was perfect for making tropical cocktails with locally grown fruit. This really is as good as it gets in Rarotonga and we will be back!

Comfortable unit surrounded by tropical gardens
Our unit was spacious, a huge bed (a little soft for us), lovely grounds with fabulous beaches a short drive away. The beach across the road was not to our liking but a far trade off when you compare what you get at Daydreamer Resort for the price. Our hosts Sheryl and Dave were brilliant thank you. A tip for you ladies is visit Moana Sands Resort and treat yourself to wonderful reasonably priced beauty treatments with the lovely ladies from Bali.

A little 6-unit gem across the road from lagoon
Very clean little property with 6 spacious, airy self-contained condo units varying in size from a studio to a 3-bedroom unit. Each of the units is tastefully decorated with full kitchen (fridge/stove/microwave/coffee maker/kettle) and very well supplied with glasses/cutlery/dishes/pots/pans etc. Each unit has a spacious covered verandah with comfortable seating as well as a table and chairs if you want to eat "al fresco". The main living area and the bedrooms each have overhead fans which are a god-send at night and during the day if the wind dies down. Lots of louvered windows (most, but not all, with screens on them) allow the gentle breezes to sweep through the unit and keep them at a comfortable temperature especially during the heat of the afternoon (we visited Rarotonga during the so-called "cooler" & dryer May-Oct period with low temperatures around 22C at night and 25-28C during the day. Nov-Apr is considered their cyclone season with it being wetter & more humid and more mosquitoes around and slightly higher temperatures) The tropical grounds of the Daydreamer are kept exceptionally clean & tidy by the owners as is the small but very inviting little pool. There is a washing machine on the property if you need clothes cleaned ($6NZ/load); no dryer but can be air-dried on outdoor lines. Note: the 1-3 bedroom units have no doors on the bedrooms (consider them more like bedroom-sized alcoves opening onto the main living area) so privacy is limited A gem of a place

Dave and cheryl are wonderful hosts and the resort is situated perfectly to access any part of the island quickly. Close to the best beaches on the island. Wonderful!

We are also very lucky to have the nice sandy beaches and snorkelling beaches within this radius too. We, do , look forward to meeting you again, in the not to distant future.
