The hotel itself is amazing it doubles as a museum that is open 24 hours! But my only issue was the front desk staff. When checkin in I was not offered any information about the hotel or any activities in any way, I literally was handed my key and said here! I was listening to the check in of the people next to me they were given all offerings like a bourbon tasting, they were told about the restaurant and the museum while I, as a woman of color, was basically told to get out of the vestibule in so many words! I was trying not to take it personal but when I went back to the floor and saw the same excellence for a person of another race but not me, then I realized it was intentional!
Also I requested a bucket of ice and I was given a plastic bag filled with ice as if I needed it to ice my knee! At a hotel that is supposed to luxurious, these details matter!
The facilities team were amazing as well as the restaurant staff on the weekend! Ayana at the front desk of the restaurant is absolutely incredible! The weekend menu is more robust than during the week! Try the heirloom grits! Your mouth will thank me later! All in all a 7.5/10.
