「Gamini (the owner) was so friendly and helpful with every need. He answered any question and did much more than you can expect from a hotel service. 「Beautiful hotel, very centrally located and right next to the ocean. Our room was nice and spacious and clean. Staff and management were very nice and helpful all around. Eg 1: I had hurt my ankle the previous day, and over our 2 day stay, they assisted my wife in getting ice for my leg. Eg 2: We also needed a screwdriver to remove the battery from a toy we bought (for plane travel), and the staff went out of their way to help out with it (laughing at us). The breakfast and dinner buffet...

「Waterland is a small resort of around 5 individual villas on the banks of a river. We stayed in Elephant villa which has a small, private pool and decking area. We loved the indoor/ outdoor bathroom with fish! The area is quiet and great for just sitting and watching the wildlife. Food is eaten in a small restaurant and although choice is limited, the quality was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Slight downsides... The resort is really tucked away ,so be sure your taxi driver knows...
