The breakfast was great! A different fresh juice each morning, a croissant, granola and yogurt, with a small bowl of fruit. Coffee & espresso was also great!
This is a lovely little hotel with a very welcoming feel and great staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the food (breakfast and dinner) in the cosy restaurant was excellent. The decor is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of Ecuador and the whole layout is very attractive. The availability of complimentary fresh fruit in the sitting room area was a nice touch. Nothing to fault here, highly recommended.
Very, very nice hotel. We were welcomed by a very lovely, courteous young lady. The whole hotel follows an Inca theme and is very lovingly decorated. The food in the restaurant was simply unbelievably delicious. The breakfast was also very varied, sumptuous and delicious. The hotel is very close to the Alameda metro. A supermarket is also just around the corner and from the roof terrace you have an incredible view over the old town. We would love to come back!
I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Quito - a short walk to the Basilica and the old town. The breakfast was great, your choice of eggs and the best coffee! The restaurant also serves dinner prepared in traditional style. Well worth taking the opportunity to dine here as well. We had a late arrival and the hotel arranged for a taxi for us on arrival. Wish we could have stayed longer!
The personals are so nice and helpful. The location is the best, situated between Mariscals and the historical area (walking distance) anh access to metro & bus is just at the corner. The price is reasonable. The food is typical and very good. I will go back there if i have a chance to visit Quito again. Recommend 100%.
The hotel was so cute, well decorated (I love the 'it's a museum' vibe). I love that the artwork inside went with the room name/theme. I had a room with two beds, though I only needed one and it had SO much space. It was a last minute reservation I just needed for one night, but I'm looking forward to returning and staying for multiple nights!
The owner is hands on so no detail goes unnoticed. The employees are so hospitable and the chef’s food is amazing. I felt so comfortable and happy during this stay especially since it was my first solo trip abroad. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
The owners and staff at Chakana Hotel were absolutely the most caring and friendly people I’ve ever encountered during my travels. They made us feel like Hotel Chakana was home away from home and we changed our plans to stay here in between our excursions. Also, the hotel is designed with beauty, culture and comfort in mind. I will recommend here to all my friends and family.
The owner of this property was always ever ready to help with any question or concern we had.
We weren't sure where we could park, and after coming late at 11 pm, he drove with me to park at a near by house, woke up the owner, and walked back with me - all with a smile the entire time.
He took pride in his property, a genuine pride; which resonated in his actions.
I can’t thank the personnel enough. El “hotel” super acogedor, y el personal excelente. Always offering to help, breakfast great.
Amazing place quiet family owners hotel so kind and welcoming incredibly nice best booking in a long long time, this is the best place to stay in quito.
We loved staying at this property. Owner is very helpful along the way. We are very satisfied with Ivvone and the way she supported. My daughter was sick one time and she was amazingly stayed with us and helped align the way. We loved they breakfast they serve in the morning and they are very flexible. I will stay again when I come back to Ecuador.
Die Jungs im Hotel waren super. Sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Frühstück und Abendessen waren auch top. Ich liebe so kleine persönliche Hotels. Die Lage glänzt auch. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!
The hotel is just as shown. Really a neat place. Our room was quite large. The beds were great and the shower was better than we have at home. A great breakfast every morning at the street level in the restaurant. The coffee was the best we have had. Latte, Cafe con Leche, Cappucino, ect. We ate at the restaurant for dinner 2 nights out of 3. It was actually really good to explore the city all day, come back to the hotel and relax for a bit and then go downstairs for a late dinner. The food is fantastic.
I also want to say all the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent. We checked very early and we were given a bag lunch for the bus trip.
It is a small boutique hotel with local charm, a very attentive staff, comfortable rooms located near mass transit, and the historical center of Quito at what was for me an excellent price.
