We had an amazing time at the Igloo Beach Hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and everybody was very helpful, especially Emily. The food in the restaurant is delicious. There is a beautiful pool right in the center of the hotel. It is surrounded by the jungle and we saw beautiful birds and monkeys throughout the day. The property and rooms are kept clean and tidy. It’s only about a five minute walk to a local beach. It is about a 15 minute walk to the town of Manuel Antonio, where you can shop and visit restaurants. There is a bus station, literally right in front of it so you can travel further easily if you’d like. They made going out on excursions very easy and helped facilitate all of our tours and transportation. We would absolutely recommend this hotel. 10/10

Do not stay at this property, numerous lies on the property information website. Including that it says there was a gym when there wasn’t and this was a key criteria for our stay. They also included reference to concierge which we assumed meant cleaning but no service was available and we had to go to another hotel. There was a power outage in our room which meant no AC

Cute pictures, but not the reality

We had 3 nights booked and left after one, and just ate the cost of the other two. The pictures definitely make it look a lot nicer than it was. We had an ant infestation in our room. The food at the restaurant was also pretty terrible. We travelled all over Costa Rica and this was the only poor stay.

This is a great hotel in the Manuel Antonio area. We would definitely stay here again. Alan at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and the pool was a perfect way to spend a hot day here. The restaurant has incredible food too!

Local Artwork surrounds the property. Beautiful flowers everywhere. Igloos are nice. Beach down the road food is great! Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Lots of Misinformation...NOT a beachfront hotel...

After a rocky start at the hotel (did not have our paid reservation documented - good thing I travel with all of my proof and did not have to pay again as the Igloo requested...) Great stay and vacation, "igloo" rooms were cool and clean and pool was refreshing after the beach... however, misleading advertising as the "lodge" is NOT beachfront, does not have a spa nor gym and does not have premium rooms which we paid extra for, and is NOT a 2 minute walk to Manuel Antonio Park entrance...(15-20 minutes at a very fast paced walk) When the Manager was confronted about misinformation, he argued that "Expedia" rep must have printed wrong information and after arguing that if there were no premium rooms or you couldn't move us to a "premium room", we were given a free $14 pizza as compensation, Hotel would not refund difference in amount of price from "premium" and regular rooms paid and upon arriving back home, HOTELS.com (Expedia), would NOT refund partial amount of room because Igloo Beach Lodge would not respond or approve...
