It was an unexpected and a terrible experience on my arrival with my family of four at the property in the evening. The room was not ready and there was no housekeeping done. I reported this to the helpdesk agents. They suggested some other accommodation in the vicinity as it was last minute and they could not find an alternative for us.
If the agents gave up, you can imagine what we had to go through calling and checking when our mobile phones were almost discharged after driving for 10 hours from Toronto.
It was terrible - new city, new language, no contacts and left stranded in spite of booking three weeks prior and receiving confirmation emails, uptil the day of arrival, from the Hotel.
I had to book an alternative hotel, on my own, at double the rate.
Hope, nobody has to go through this ordeal.
It has been one week since I emailed the property team and I have yet to hear back from them.
