The pool was fine, but unfortunately the rest of the stay was very disappointing. The room was dirty, and it appeared that the bedsheets had not been changed. The fridge was also unclean and still contained used bottles from a previous guest. There were several maintenance issues as well, the shower head was broken and sprayed water toward the ceiling, and the phone in the room did not work. The food was particularly concerning. Out of the six guests in our group, four became sick after eating. Additionally, cleanliness throughout the facility was lacking, with spills left dried on the floors for days. Overall, the experience did not meet basic cleanliness or quality standards. Does not align with the Riu standards.

We didn’t need cleaning everyday, we requested every other day and got fresh towels everyday. Staff was friendly and even friendly once tipped. No airport shuttle available from Las Americas. We requested laundry three times during our stay but only received the sheet the day before we left which was frustrating because we left at 4AM so our clothes would never be ready in time. We ended up leaving with a suitcase full of dirty clothes.

The rooms smelled like mildew and mold upon walking in to our rooms. Bathroom had a leak from the ceiling and shower pressure was very low water was barely coming out. The staff were very helpful. There was entertainment every day. Jerk chicken hut was the best.

My cousin and I stayed at this all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic for 6 days, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The resort itself was absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and well-kept grounds that made it feel like a tropical paradise from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. One of our favorite parts was the atmosphere—there were so many young people around our age visiting from all over the world, which made it really easy to meet others and added so much fun to the trip. Since this was our first time staying at a resort, we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but it completely exceeded everything we imagined. Between the great energy, amazing service, and beautiful setting, this ended up being the best vacation we’ve ever had. We would absolutely come back again!

If you want a very upbeat party resort this is it! Lots of pools and swim up bars! Jerk Chicken is AMAZING! Positives- swim up bars (3), beach is beautiful and food options are good! Negatives-it’s a party resort so it gets trashed, rooms are cute but not really nice, and service is only good if you tip.

The all inclusive package is ok. The hotel needs to be upgraded and the rooms treated for mold due the humidity. I came to this hotel several years back and it was not like this. The staff was amazing. I hate the restrictions on who can pick you up...cant call a cab it has to be a specific transportation if you have family pick you up also not permitted felt like arm twisting to use specific taxi companies.

For such a large 1300 room resort the access to pool and beach chairs was good. Room was clean and food was plenty but mostly buffet. Wish there was more table service at the specialty restaurants.

The shuttles were easy to find. Within 4 days we switched rooms theee times. The first room had roaches that was all over the bathroom. Second room had bed bugs that ate us up. When we approached the management team they could. Or do anything but with our room. Victor was horrible and unapproachable. Anyelo tried to help, but don’t believe us until I showed him pictures of the beds. He told us it was mold, then sand spiders, I asked if he wanted to see my legs with bites. He stated, No after I showed him the beds. The fact that this was supposed to be a relaxing time and a birthday celebration. Our whole time spent was not what we expected. Who wants to spend two days moving rooms and not enjoying your stay.

I am writing to formally request compensation for my recent stay at Riu Republica in Punta Cana. During my 6-day ( March 19-March 24th)stay, my experience was extremely uncomfortable due to the lack of functioning air conditioning in my room. Despite reporting the issue multiple times, I was required to change rooms three times, and the issue was never properly resolved. The room conditions were excessively hot and not suitable for occupancy, significantly impacting my ability to breath (breathing machine), rest and enjoy my vacation. This falls far below the standards expected from your brand. Due to the repeated disruptions, inconvenience, and failure to provide basic accommodations, I am requesting appropriate compensation for this experience, paying Expedia alot of money and RIU when I checked in. I've stayed at this Resort several times within the last 2years.
