Everything was great except the food and drinks. No fresh juice, not even limes and the bars. In the DR?! Food was sort of mediocre. Amazing amusement park is walkable and free! Great place for kids. Beautiful beach and pools. Staff were hit or miss.

I think we would appreciate it if the staff that works in the buffet cleaning tables and setting up tables would be more smiley. I would be more attentive to get in fable set up so we don’t have to wait so long . All other staff members are great and I would recommend this place.

Here’s a clean, factual, public‑facing Expedia review version. It keeps the issues clear and credible, avoids sounding like a private claim letter, and still signals why compensation would be justified. Disappointing Check‑In and Unresolved Room Issues Unfortunately, our stay started off poorly due to multiple room issues that were not resolved in a timely manner. Upon check‑in, our room was missing basic amenities, including robes, slippers, soap pumps in the bathroom, and the refrigerator was completely empty. The in‑room telephone was also not working, and the toilet was leaking. The staff member who escorted us to the room contacted others for assistance, and someone did come to restock the refrigerator. At that time, we reported the leaking toilet and were advised to place towels around it to absorb the water. This was concerning, as it created a clear safety hazard. The issue was not repaired at that time. Later, another staff member delivered the robes and slippers. We again mentioned the leaking toilet and were told someone would be contacted. Before leaving for dinner, I personally notified the front desk of all remaining issues. When we returned around 11:00 PM, the phone still had not been fixed, and the soap pumps had still not been replaced. Because there was no working phone in the room, we were unable to contact the front desk or order room service. Overall, the room was not properly prepared, and several issues remained unresolved despite multiple notices.

Checkin was horrendous. Staff with very few exceptions are rude and not interested in assisting guests, items stolen from our room. Most on our tour never had hot water. My sink didn’t produce water at all and I was told it was fine. Had to have them back at night to fix it. Food was poor. Rooms felt grimy. Grounds are expansive and well maintained. Coffee shop has great coffee. Pay for a beach cabana. Towels never arrived on time so hard to find loungers. Cabana provided this and the guys were great. Would never come back.

I had a wonderful stay at Meliá. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, but what truly made my experience exceptional was the outstanding service. The room was clean. Had a water leak coming from the upstairs floor. I had to called twice to get someone to come look at it due to the water coming directly through the lightbulb. They were able to fix it but it was a little concerning. The staff. My husband had an altercation with a waitress who refused to clean the table where we sat. When asked if she could wipe down the table, she told my husband that she already did but there was rice all over the table. The waitress proceeded to walk to her station and started talking to another waitress and they both were staring at my husband while talking. Felt very uncomfortable and my husband asked to speak with their supervisor. Supervisor was very professional at handling the matter but at the point of time we were just upset and left. Overall, the hotel was very nice. The issues were addressed and resolved. I can see myself going back in the future.

La estancia estuvo excelente, el hotel tiene muchas amenidades para familias, y el trato del personal fue bueno en especial el de Anny liriano quien estuvo muy al pendiente durante nuestra estadía y con un trato excepcional, asistiéndonos y resolviéndonos dudas que pudimos tener durante nuestra estancia.

The staff were quick with cleaning each day amd stocking our fridge. Our room wqs always clean. The property was clean and well maintained. All of the staff were courteous and helpful, especially our concierge, Anny Liriano.

The main lobby and restaurants are all open concept and feels luxurious when you see it for first time but the rooms are very dated and run down, light switches not working, broken tiles in the floor, toilet paper roll non functional, sliding door to balcony won't lock, rusted frame and terrible mattress on pull out couch, small things but added up stand out as not luxurious at all, let alone non functional sometimes. The staff seem to not really care about you, not very welcoming or hospitable, not hostile but totally indifferent even when you tip them. Restaurants include buffet and selection of "specialty" ones typical Steak, Mexican, Italian, Tepanyaki that are hard to book and are not any better than the buffet at all, my steak wasn't even a regular cut of meat, some random part of the cow that was tough and chewy even cooked med rare. Overall feels very much a resort factory vs an experience.

Nice property, quite clean, staff friendly but miscommunication & information can occur so be ready to ‘ask again politely’ and clarify.

Nos hospedamos en LEVEL y las habitaciones son muy cómodas y limpias. La comida estuvo muy buena y variada. El personal del Riviera súper atento sobre todo Ramon. El área de piscina muy limpia y tranquila. La Playa sencillamente espectacular.

Las almohadas tienen muy mal olor, a mugre deberían de lavarlas también. El personal tiene mucha preferencia por las personas americanas y canadienses, llegan a ser un poco groseros los barman con los hispanohablantes
