The resort itself is nice and I noticed that the efforts to keep the beach clean of seaweed were top-notch. That was something that I was very grateful for and I'm sure other visitors highly appreciated it. However, I noticed areas that could use a few improvements. There was a lot of trash and litter getting to the property, which I know isn't necessarily a Majestic problem, it's a country-wide problem. As far as the resort itself, the buffet options could be improved as the food is just "ok". My mother and I had a room to ourselves and the outlets barely worked. Keep in mind that there are probably over 10 outlets in the whole room and when we tried each and every one of them, I would say the majority of them were either functioning half the time, or just not functioning at all. I was told that I should've mentioned this sooner, but I didn't because I assumed it would take a very long time to fix since it was an electrical issue and decided that it wasn't worth mentioning until the very last day of our stay. The front desk attendant told me that it would've been a quick fix. The bartenders at the pool bar can seriously use some help because it takes a long time to order a drink, let alone get their attention. The air conditioner in the rooms can be MUCH colder and the resort tries to trick you into thinking that when you set the temperature to 64.4 degrees, that it's really that temperature, when in reality it's nowhere near it. Also, please fix the front elevators.

The pool is beautiful and soooo clean! Property is gorgeous!! Rooms are a little dated but nothing horrible—TOTALLY worth what we paid. Food was good—no issues with high salt levels as other reviews have mentioned and tons of variety. I had 1 vegan in our travel party and she was satisfied as well—although dinners were a little limited for her—we figured out a way to make it work. My vegan would have had a harder time if we stayed longer—but for 6 days it worked out well. This resort was DEFINITELY worth the price—a few bumps but nothing horrible—and the main parts of the resort were beautiful-clean and well kept. Someone at the hotel told me they’re closing this part in a few months to refresh the rooms—if so—then that will be a HUGE value add. The golf was also worth it! Normally a day of golf runs about $500 pp on the island—to have a green fee included in our stay was perfect! Casino is a little small—but typical for all-inclusive and enough there to keep us busy. Something I noticed-everyone spoke Spanish with limited English—that’s different than most of the islands I’ve been to—however—it was fine—everyone was pleasant enough and willing to help—sometimes it took a minute or two to get what we needed—but there’s always google translate and there’s WiFi through the whole resort—so that was great as well— All in all great trip—would recommend for families on a budget—worth every penny we spent!!!!

Bad experience, gave me another room not what i booked and charged me extra money for one day and i checked out before 1 day of what i paid for , bad management they refused to listen to me and they don’t care about clients

The food at the main restaurant buffet was good. The BBQ restaurant next to the beach was ok. I read the reviews about Japanese and French restaurant was good but they're not. The pools was good. But beach was too much seaweed couldn't swim. In general, resort Majestic in Punta Cana wasn't bad. My family had a good trip.

This wasn’t the best experience to be honest. The service was very inconsistent. They somehow ran out of bath mats. I have a toddler who i didn’t want to run around a wet floor from us getting out of the shower. I called the front the desk about the bath mats not being replaced, they had no idea what i was talking about. Hours later, housekeeping came and told us they just ran out of them. The air conditioning in the room was subpar. It just never felt cold in the room. I kept lowering the temperature but it never improved. I lowered it to about 65° and it was still hot in the room. The food could’ve been better. The options mostly weren’t that appealing. Mcjesitc should be more about Dominican street food instead of burgers and hotdogs. The sancocho in the Taino restaurant was really good. Danilo the chef did a really good job with his menu. Dominican night menu was also really good. I just wish the food was that consistent. The servers were nice but could’ve been better. There were times we would be seated and it would be a while before anyone would ask us what we wanted to drink. I had to tell one of them the difference between vodka and whiskey. On two separate occasions, i gave my drink order to someone and they just never came back. I’ve honestly never been frustrated before until now. The entertainment crew was fun. They had lots of energy and they work hard. The kid’s play area was nice. My son had a blast in the water. The workers there incl. Victoria were great!

Thank you for the incredible hospitality during my stay. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations and made for a truly memorable experience. I’d especially like to recognize Enrique, my butler, for his outstanding service and attention to detail. He made sure everything was perfect. I also want to give a special shoutout to “Mr. Hot Chocolate” for bringing such positive energy and good vibes every day. They both played a big part in making my stay extra special. We were in Majestic Colonial for family vacation, hotel had a good location near punta cana AirPort. Oscar All staff were very helpful and friendly. Very comfortable and clean rooms. We had good experience also with the activities in outdoor Beach and pools. On the beach restaurant our favorite, excellent and quality food.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana – Solid Stay, Beautiful Beach (Colonial Club) We had a great time at Majestic Colonial. The staff was generally joyful and eager to help, and the resort was clean and well maintained. The beach was absolutely stunning—yes, some seaweed, but very little once you wade in. The bar service was responsive, especially if you tipped regularly. July, the bartender from the club swim up bar was outstanding - always remembering our drink requests and more than happy to top us up before we finished our drinks. Our room had a strange layout but was comfortable. Food overall was good, and we never worried about getting sick. That said, the beachside restaurants were disappointing—poor service, rushed vibe, and tough steaks served with butter knives. Our butler was lovely but didn’t really enhance the experience. In the future, we might opt for something more modern and smaller scale, but we were happy with our stay and recommend Majestic Colonial with confidence. Rating: 4/5
