Independent Pula hotels

"I was incredibly disappointed with my stay here and feel very misled by the information on Expedia. This is advertised as a resort-style hotel off the beaten path. And it kind of is, but nothing is open. I spent five nights and the Burger bar was never open, the coffee shop was never open. All these shops along the main walkway were closed. The restaurant opened at mysterious times. The information on Expedia says there's a buffet style restaurant. There isn't. It says the pool restaurant Oliva serves brunch, lunch, and dinner, but its only open from 12-5, so no brunch and dinner only if you eat dinner before 5pm. There is nothing here. There are no bars, no lobby bars, no pool bars, nobody serving drinks anywhere. At 9pm the resort is empty. There is nothing to do. The only breakfast option is to go to the OTHER hotel where you can pay 19€ (not 17€ like Expedia says) for access to the buffet. I don't know why breakfast was not included in my booking, but I had to pay. There is a supermarket and the idea seems to be that you are to buy groceries and cook in your room. I am on vacation and have no interest in cooking. When I spoke to the woman at the front desk she basically confirmed "we are not a hotel, we just rent apartments." I wish Expedia had made that clear so I didn't waste my money and vacation time expecting five nights in a resort. The bus stop is a 15 minute walk and you need to take the bus 20 minutes into town to actually do anything. Better to book there."

"Lovely five star experience "

"This hotel is okay, but it’s far from being a “resort” as they claim. It could be rated as a 3-star hotel, but there are many things that don’t match the “resort” category. The breakfast is just average. There aren’t many options, and none of them are healthy. There’s only one type of coffee, and there’s no fresh juice. It’s not a resort-style breakfast. We missed fresh fruits like pineapple, mango, watermelon, and papaya. From a safety perspective, the entrance to the room’s building doesn’t have a reception. It’s just an elevator that you can freely access without a password or card access. The room is spacious, but the toilet has a giant transparent door that gives absolutely no privacy. I can’t imagine how young couples would feel here. The mattress is too soft, and the pillows and towels are of good quality. Perhaps the worst part is the feeling that the hotel is “doing a favor” by hosting you. We had this feeling many times during our stay. There are signs everywhere in the hotel and in our room telling us what not to do. The location is ok, however you need a car to explore the beautiful region. Pula as a city is also pretty decent. "

"Perfect location! Great apartment for the price. It was much bigger than we expected, which was a nice surprise. Staff was helpful. Regarding amenities, we were here on the offseason so the pool wasn’t open which we knew about. While I think the posting said that there was laundry onsite, there wasn’t. Would highly recommend staying here."

"The parking was easy & secure. Room was clean and spacious. My only negative was that there is no way of blocking the light coming into the room. There are lights on the balcony that shine into the room. Making it too light to sleep comfortably. I enjoyed the breakfast & its an easy walk to the old town."
