The Avela boutique hotel is pure luxury! Amazing rooms with great air conditioning, fantastic food, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommend for a special relaxing getaway!

This place is a 10 out of 10. It was clean, quaint and had everything we needed. It’s walking distance to the town. The pool area was great, and I loved being able to walk out of my room to breakfast every morning. For the price it was great! Would definitely recommend.

So many things to say about this place: Gorgeous hotel, great pool, amazing food, friendly staff. Things to keep in mind: the rooms are on the ground floor which I can appreciate are a safety issue for some solo travellers. There is no dinner service here BUT the town is 5 mins away and has amazing restaurants. Very tourist friendly and yet you feel like a local. Will be staying here again for sure.

A TRUE GEM

A true gem! Quiet and peaceful. Delicious breakfast included each morning that was fresh and varied. On site food and beverages throughout the day. Golf cart available to rent onsite that was affordable and a must. Staff was so sweet and helpful.

We stayed here for 8 days and felt right at home. The location is super convenient to walk into town, but if you’re not up for walking, they’ll arrange golf carts for your stay. Staff can also arrange in room massages, which were so nice after a morning surf session. The staff are super friendly and attentive. We had a few incidents (not due to the hotel) and the staff was always there to help us and go out of their way to make sure we were good. Property is really quiet. We had great sleep and pool was super to chill during the day. Some nights some neighbors would play music really loud, but only for an hour or so. Rooms are simple and clean. Only negative — If you have a rental, parking on property is limited/tight. Be careful backing out of the garage. All around will definitely be back :)

Great stay..but

Always a lovely time here but when you have very drunken Americans sitting drinking by the pool all day and bought it gets very, very loud indeed. Perhaps look at some better soundproofing of doors. Also stop them slamming so hard. The staff are absolutely charming as always. So very helpful and kind. It's a little off putting though that there is no staff on site at night. What happens in an emergency??

Water was cut off a couple of times during our 4 night stay. Unfortunately these things happens but the pool area is very nice. Overall properly lacks personality a bit. The breakfast is too late at 8:30. Would be better if they at least offered coffees earlier than that. We went out to get coffee every morning. Not a bad place overall but the boutique is a bit of a stretch. The staff were lovely though and I can’t fault them for anything.

Daniel and Ama were very great and gave good recommendations for around town. Our room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was great, and best of all was the pool area. I do recommend having a golf cart while there, but they can assist with rentals and there’s enough parking/chargers. Overall great stay and would recommend!

Avela for the WIN!! Lovely stay!

Our stay at Avela was AMAZING!! This was our first trip to Sayulita and we fell in love! It was such a cute little beach town with such a laid back vibe.... You can literally forget about all your cares or worries, and just ENJOY your time there. And the Avela property is removed enough from the heart of town so that it is very quiet and peaceful, yet still within walking distance. They are literally able to take care of all of your needs there -- they have meal service, a great pool area, golf cart rentals, etc... Daniel was so friendly and accomodating. He helped with anything we needed, they even took care of our laundry needs for a very reasonable price, and offered additional services if needed (if you need a ride somewhere, they'll arrange it. If you want massages in your room, they'll arrange it, etc.) Breakfast each morning was a treat. We will definitely be back and recommend to others. Thank you again!!
