"Property is an actual retreat, so keep that in mind while booking. Car is almost a must, 4x4 highly recommended but not you can make it there with smaller cars (not that small). The place is very nice, property seems very new. I would definitely come again."

"We booked this hotel for a quick stay after a long days bus ride. At time of booking a message was sent to management letting them know that our arrival to the hotel would be late as there was a lengthy bus ride and as the expedia app explained late check in was available as per availability whatever that means. The hotel responded a little later that late check in would not be possible and sorry for the inconvenience. Inconvenience? We were only a few hours from our destination at this point...

"It is a true rare gem. A wonderful lodge in the middle of the jungle. Our villa was spacious. It has two huge rooms and a giant porch where we saw monkeys. I was grilling to the sound of howler monkeys. The owners are a young Danish couple who are welcoming and helpful. They are building a big pool which is going to be ready in the next few weeks. "This is a once in a lifetime stay! The property is stunningly beautiful and located deep in the heart of what feels like one of the last "untouched" parts of coastal Costa Rica. If you want a real and authentic experience that's still safe and comfortable, I can't recommend Nereus more highly. Stuart and Jenny are AMAZING and what they've built is nothing short of an oasis. We loved our stay and will definitely be back! "

"I loved the serenity. Villa Bonita is private, clean, and has everything you need for a stay on the Osa Peninsula. I was there specifically for birding, and a short drive trook my guide and me to the best hotspots for finding endemic very special Costa Rica species. Great beaches and chocolate tours nearby too. The host commmunicated well by WhatsApp and the neighbors made themselves available for any kind of help. The bed was very comfortable. Thew kitchen has everything I could have needed. The counter was great as a workspace for downloading all my photos from camera cards to a storage drive. There's a big TV I didn't use, but if that's your thing... There's air conditioning but the windows are screened, so I slept with them open to hear the jungle creatures at night. I wish I could have stayed much longer than two nights and will return. Thank you!"
