Ariana’s is excellent to stay in. The beds are super comfortable, the view from the kitchen area is great, the air conditioning worked great. Across the street is undeveloped land so we saw several new birds. It is a little over a mile to the harbor so if that’s more of a walk than you’d like, taxis are everywhere. All kinds of stores are within 2-3 blocks. We loved the neighborhood.
A good spot for a quick stay. It's pretty basic, but reliable, clean, and quiet. It met my needs. It's about a 15 minute walk to the downtown/waterfront.
It’s a few blocks off the tourist trail but the bars and pier is easily accessible. Local options even closer. Clean and comfortable room, decent shower and terrace is a nice touch. Wifi patchy but that’s island-wide. Friendly staff, recommended.
This was a nice hotel away from the bustle of town. Cabs are only $1.50 so going onto town just took a little longer. The owner(s) and family are all very nice. The only problem we encountered was banging from construction from morning until late afternoon. If we weren't out and about most of the time this would have become a major problem.
The apartment we rented was spacious but the hostal in general was neglected. It was very far from downtown. There was not reception. When we arrived, we were completely lost without a soul around. We were the only people at the hostal. The owner barely communicated with us through WhatsApp. We never saw him in person, only a woman who wasn't very useful.
Good location, close to nature. Great view from the 3rd floor. However, there was some difficulty in contacting management or staff on site. Overall, good. Service people clean your unit, and change your sheet and towels daily. The place has a kitchenette and fridge to prepare your own food. We spent 10 days at this hostel.
Gabriel and Blanca are wonderful hosts. They made our trip pleasurable by providing personalized service and help in any way we wanted and patiently answered all our questions. The hostel is on the outskirts of the town - so a 15 minute walk to the port, or a $2 cab ride. Rooms, beds and linen are clean; breakfast on the terrace is great. Its in the residential area of the town, so there are kids playing on the street and roosters crowing.
Stayed here for 1 week room was clean and comfortable with private bathroom. Easy walk into town or taxis drive by every minute of two. Very safe area no issues as a solo female walking at night. People are extremely friendly and offer assistance when needed. Great quiet location.
Excellent host, helpful in so many ways.
Property is in a Residential area, lots of dogs.
Clean, Free, drinkable water always available, reliable air conditioning,Safe for single women, enjoyed my Time.

This property Called itself Ariana’s Galápagos Suites but its actually a hostal. It is situated on the edge of town - a blessing for some, not so for others. Check-in was easy and the woman checking us in was very nice and informative. The room was decent but could've been so much nicer (for example the balcony doors were difficult to open and close and there were tons of scuff marks and foot prints on the walls - what?!). The AC was very welcome as it was hit and humid for most of the time, the water pressure was good and there was a moderate level of warm to hot water, the toilet flushed wonderfully and the balcony was a nice addition to the room. The upstairs terrace was also nice as were the beach towels and the daily room cleaning. One of the main reasons we booked this place was because it said it had bicycles. NOT! that was a big disappointment especially because of its location. We wound up renting bikes from a local place for about $240 for the week for 2 bikes. Also the wifi is pretty bad on the edge of town and I totally expected that I’d be able to pay for the balance of the room by card. But no. Due to poor wifi, I had to dig into my cash supply and pay $336. This is a cash place for the most part and that put a fairly decent dent in my week’s budget. All in all a decent place to stay. If they had bikes as advertised staying on the edge of town wouldn’t be as inconveniencing.
