4/5 - Good
Progreso is nice. The hotel I stayed at ruined it.

All the staff were so lovely. The front desk staff were very friendly and always ready to answer our questions. I would like to make special mention of the young staff who worked in the little cafe. They were so kind and patient with us when we used our minimal Spanish. Their service was wonderful ...

It was beautiful
Beautiful white sand beach. Friendly people.
Better go before it turns in to another Cancun. There are cruise ship arrivals almost every day at the pier but it was still pretty low key compared to Cancun, Cozumel. Not commercialized like those cities yet.
The only thing we struggled with slightly was the wifi in our room only worked near the door. I have to admit, the disconnect from our phones made for a more personal experience.
Interesting array of how old meets new.
