Room was old, dated and lacked any amenities whatsoever. Staff was neither friendly or mean. They just don’t seem to care if you were there or not. The location is awesome but outside of that it lacks cleanliness and a good staff.

My family of four stayed at the Bahia del Sol hotel, and it was mid, as the kids say. The suite was well laid out, with separate bedrooms and bathrooms for the adults and kids, a small kitchen with barebones equipment, and even a lounge and giant terrace with comfortable couches. Sounds pretty sweet, right? Well, only if you don’t need to sleep. CanaTico, a restaurant-bar just down the street, pumps music so loudly until about midnight every evening. Some nights, it’s karaoke too, so we get to enjoy drunkards scream-singing the hits instead of the pros. In the bedrooms of the family suites? It’s like they are in your room. The rooms are so poorly insulated, with rickety patio doors in lieu of windows, that you hear every word and every note of every song, on top of the booming bass. And that happens even with the loud A/C, a white noise app, and ear plugs. Surprisingly, the owner of the Bahia del Sol hotel also owns the building that the CanaTico is in. The hotel staff seem pretty indifferent, just acknowledging that everyone complains about the noise and that there is nothing that can be done. Cool. At least they called the police once when I went over there in my pyjamas to ask them to keep it down so my family could sleep. Besides not being able to sleep, which is a core function of a hotel, the place is okay. The breakfast is fine, with passable food. The cleanliness of the hotel could be improved. It’s got a grimy feel, especially the bathrooms - think old soap dis

Room was clean and spacious! We got the 3 bed family suite. Had a weird smell, I think it was coming from the air conditioning. We ended up just leaving the sliding door open. The staff is friendly and the beach is nice! The breakfast was great, the town has restaurants and a market you can walk to for things as well. I liked this are better than tamarindo because you don’t have people haggling you to buy things 24/7, it’s more peaceful and less crowded.

Stayed 3 nights- definitely feel it should have a higher rating than a 3 star hotel - we were in a deluxe room - very spacious - modern and clean. Grounds are beautifully landscaped and staff were very friendly. The free breakfast was great as well as the entertainment options! I would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with great staff and amazing bartenders. The food was very good and the drinks were even betrer. The shower in our room didn't have very warm water but it wasn't freezing so they were manageable, that was the only hiccup. Highly recommend them!

Everything about our stay here was excellent. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We atayed three nights and it is a highlight of our trip. The room and ammenities are comfirtable. You cannot beat the location, just steps away from the beach and local restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel. You can even buy a day pass for the pool.

El cuartp estaba sucio. Había un globo, confetti y unos empaques de dulces de ls huespedes anteriores. El piso se sentía empolvado. Al comentarle a la señors de aseo nos dijo que habían estado muy llenos y que la limpieza se hizo "en carrera". El staff es amable y servicial (con excepción de 1 de los meseros) , el bartender es amable y muy buena persona. La comida del hotel es excelente. El desayuno incluido es justo. La propiedad como tal es bella y frente al mar (es necesario que limpien la piscina más seguido. No es muy agradable entrar con taaaantas hojas e insectos muertos).

The hotel was on a beautiful beach with very helpful & accommodating staff. However the suite we stayed in was extremely old and did not at all look like a single picture on this website or online in general. The interior of the rooms was extremely dated & didnt appear clean. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing. The property only had 2 restaurants and one was closed for a private party.

Check in was not pleasant, happy we arrive d early they had assigned us a room 118 which was at the end of the resort looked like closet, would not have anyone stay there, I think we had paid a good some of money to stay at this hotel! We asked for a better room they said they would look into it and we should check with them later. We left came back later they had another room for us. Just to let you know how insulted and humiliating this was , coming for a vacation from Canada ending in a closet space. We had to go twice to visit the room, an ignorant front desk agent could not help or express our situation. Actually I am reguested a full refund from however , Expedia or hotel. Totally frustrated and humiliated. Especially for the price we paid.

Our room was clean, close to pool and restaurant. A very tropical and rustic hotel. We were 50/50 on staff friendliness and helpfulness. A bit of language barrier especially ordering food. It is not an all inclusive, something to be aware of, if that is what you are use to. Nice beach to swim & walk along. Close to other beaches to visit and lots of sea and wildlife to see.
