Convenient location, very reasonably priced, friendly staff, clean and well equipped. Decent, comfortable bar offering a good choice of bar food. The accommodation was a little dated in areas, however would 100% recommend this hotel over one of the larger, more expensive chain options.

The best hotel. It was very elegant. Rooms were beautiful and decor was just amazing. The library was quiet and had a lot of books. The hotel was initially a home for retired sailors, then turned into a hotel. It was so beautiful worth interesting things everywhere to look at. Beds were excellent and rooms very clean. Highly recommended

Check in was fine but Expedia should know when there’s a disco on until midnight! I had a long day travelling flight delayed so got in at 2300 only to hear loud disco until midnight! Not the best relaxation I’d planned for ! Breakfast is a must ! Value for money !

Hotel was very tired and in need of refurb, room was well used, bed sank, windows looked out at other windows and was not private, couldn’t open windows or curtains. Music till early hours blasting from party in hotel - didn’t bother with any food. Clean though and receptionist was lovely and helpful.
