Old Victory house is an old townhouse which could do with a renovation. The staff and the included breakfast at the main hotel were fantastic
The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom.
The bedroom was also up flights of stairs
The mattress needs to go in the bin now!
Our backs are sore we are very tired from such a bad night sleep from the springs in the mattress
You can hear the trains but I expect that as it’s next to the station.
The breakfast is served in the hotel up the road was lovely and the lady serving was excellent
Just around the corner from National Express Bus terminal. Also Green Mango Hair Salon. Room 5 in the second floor is quiet. Room 3 on the first level not to much.
Very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed.
It was a bit difficult being on the top floor with several flights of stairs as I have a problem with stairs.
Breakfast served in nearby hotel, although we only took tea and coffee.
Perfect base for exploring the harbour.
Simple and comfortable. We had a maid top up our tea caddie and give our room a quick clean and reset every morning of our 4 night stay. Easy check in at the hotel up the road. A well equiped communal kitchen was also available to use.
Check in @ the hotel. Apartment is about 200m away. Parking available with an On Street Permit from the hotel @ £5/24hrs. Clean, if compact premises. Good breakfast at the hotel.

Portsmouth March 2025
The stay was ok, we very much enjoyed the location, which was right where we wanted to be, service was good and staff were very friendly, our room was small and there was some litter left behind by previous occupants, the room had a few scuff marks on the walls and door, looked as though it needed a coat of paint?
The ensuite was very clean, the bed comfortable and bedding clean
Breakfast was excellent, good food quality and a fine choice of options
Overall not bad

This property is in such a fabulous location! Easy connections to the rest of the city and it's so close to the bus, train and ferry hubs. Within minutes of walking off the ferry from the Isle of Wight, I was at the property door.
The staff are so friendly, always happy to help. I'm definitely going to recommend them to my friends and I'll happily book in here again
Nothing special, but for the price you cant complain. Communal areas need updating. Fantastic location for the docks , shopping and train station. Would return if the price stayed low.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The bedroom and bathroom were nice, but the bed needs a new mattress: the springs were prominent & were painful. An additional blanket available in the cupboard would be nice because the room took a while to warm up. When I first entered the building there’s a strong mildew smell.
Good place to stay, very near the shopping outlet. Parking can be bit tricky as you have to get a permit to park in the street, and we could not find parking close to house, so had to travel 5 mins to park.

The accommodation was new and clean but cramped and not well situated in the building with access only through a communal kitchen. The dining facilities were satisfactory but in another hotel about 200 yards away on foot.

Great location for the train station.
Cheap as chips room but needs a deep clean.
Shower and all grout in bathroom has mildew, I didnt use the shower because of it.
Nice touch with a few bottles of water and some tea/coffee making facilities as well as an information foldr of local area and eateries.
The room smelled of marajuana all night. Not sure if the room below was smoking or if it was coming from outside.
The bed really needs a new mattress, very cheap and spongy and the pillows are wafer thin, very cheap.
Ok for 1 night, I only slept here after being at the port all day on a travel agents ship vist.
It’s was all good mostly top room comfy glad I got it instead of one in Gosport only is was the signal for the tv but prepared for that and had my own laptop
1. Price - Paid about £82 per night (excluding breakfast cost for comparison) which did not match the advertised avilable price of £63 (7/7/2024).
2. Train - No mention of the train screetching across the street that starts around 5am and thanksfully stops around middnight. No warning was given in the description. I know the train cant be moved but it should impact the price point! Your price point being too high!
3. Daily housekeeping - Not up to standard, day 1 as expected, day 2 no housekeeping no new towels, day 3 bed made roughly no new toilet paper or towels did replenish tea/coffee but then left cups that were unclean.
4. The room - In general the whole room was not clean and akward, the TV was tucked into the corner out of view of one side of the bed. One window seat for clearly a double bed room with a stool you could not comfortably sit together.
The room we had never featured in the advertising photos.
I would not recomend at this price point for a couple.
