Comfy bed, strong wifi and great breakfast. Plus 5 minutes walk from where I was working for the weekend, so ideal. No frills but clean and welcoming, great host and accommodating to early check in due to work commitments. Highly recommended!!
Esk Vale was a lovely B&B. Our host was friendly and readily available. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Would definitely stay again. A walk to restaurants and water.
Very quick response to any of questions. Warm welcome and help getting my bag up the stairs as there is no elevator. I had rm 5 just for myself. I had enough space to lay out my bag for the night. There were enough outlets in the room but wish there was one by head of the bed. No ac, but there is a fan that cooled me off lots of on demand hot water in the shower. Quiet street and very easy walk to the beach. Close to streets that have plenty of restaurants.
I had an awesome experience staying here. Very clean and organized room. The toilet was sparkling and the towels were soft and immaculate.
The host is such a lovely person…quite accommodating and polite. A beautiful soul!
Complimentary breakfast was amazing…I had scrambled eggs and toast and cereal…with complimentary biscuits and tea.
Overall, I’ll give my experience a 10/10
Quiet but central to all local attractions. Walking distance to the sea and green spaces. Host was polite, interesting, helpful a really comfortable stay, would highly recommend.
Ideally positioned a few minutes walk from the beach. Beautifully decorated & lovely and clean. Great breakfast, our room was ideal for a few days stay. Off road parking available for a small charge.
Host was brilliant, breakfast was lovely, hotel was spotless. Only let down was a slightly noisy bed that was a little soft for me. Hotel was also in a superb location
Smooth check-in and very friendly. Room was perfect for us with a great power shower. Breakfast superb, too. Lovely place, close enough to town but also far enough away from it. Many thanks
Great location for a stay in Southsea and Portsmouth. I was here for a Portsmouth Field Gun Reunion and it was handily located to venues in Southsea and close to bus routes to Portsmouth city. Quiet street.
Stayed for one night by myself and if I need another B&B in the area in the future I will gladly return.
Staff were very friendly, explained everything i needed to know clearly upon arrival.
Plenty of on-street parking just outside which is free to use with the permits provided by the house.
The room was perfect for what I needed, comfy, quiet and easy to come and go as I pleased.
The location is great for walking to the beach, nearby parks and Albert Road with plenty of dinner and evening options.
Breakfast was included and was very nice with cereals, fruit and a full english.
Will be recommending to friends and family.

Nicely located being just a two min walk to south parade pier, and a lovely 40min walk to portsmouth harbour....my room was nice and clean, room 6 and was some what quirky(the toilet was a little losely attached to the floor, and was positioned close to the wall, its an old property so quirks made me smile),lovely white towels provided, and noise levels were non existent....bed was comfortable, the owner was atentive to my needs asking if i needed anything ect.....breakfast was amazing, nice full english served fast, and a banana kept me going for the day.....i thought this property offered great value for money and id definetly return
