"Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is outside the town centre so it’s best to have your own transport - there is free on-site parking available. If you do then drive into town … go early, or you may find it difficult to park because it gets very busy. The hotel’s pool area is great and well-maintained - towels are available from reception (cash deposit required). The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room (to keep drinks cold)."

Tables often remained uncleared for more than 15 minutes while guests waited for somewhere to sit, or ended up clearing tables themselves and searching for cutlery, cups, or glasses. There were virtually no Corsican specialties, only two kinds of industrial cheese, very limited fresh fruit, and melons that were so hard they were practically inedible. Heads-up that there are multiple places in Ajaccio with "Castel Vecchio" as the name. Make sure to use the correct address when finding this hotel."
