Hotel is perfect gelegen bij metro, bus en hop on/hop off haltes.
Hotel Davilina was undergoing repair work so we were moved to the adjoining CLIP Hotel. We were there on a weekend so there was free street parking nearby. The above ground Metro train ran down the middle of the street. The station was a two minute walk away and a short ride across the river into Porto. An El Corte Ingles dept store was also nearby along with quite a few restaurants along the street. The room was excellent although maybe a bit small for some. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is being renovated so they had some issues with elevator. Also the room heater broke 2 days before I left, since it was a weekend it wasn't fixed.
Room is very small and does not have a desk so it's good only if you're planning to go back to the hotel only to sleep and shower.

Nice and definitely affordable
The location of the hotel is great. There's a big shopping mall right around the corner and the metro stops right across the hotel. You can get breakfast for no more than €3 also a few meters next to the hotel. The staff is really kind and helpful. The rooms are okay, but the beds are pretty hard.
Overall, a good hotel if you're planning not to spend much time indoors.

Basic but clean
The room was outdated but clean. Poor air ventilation. No hairdryer. Air conditioning didn't really help, it was just noisy. Bring your earplugs. It was ok for 2 days and it was good value. We managed to park our car on the street just around the corner and since it was weekend the parking was free. Tram stop very close so it's easy to go to the center of Porto. Wifi only in the public areas. Breakfast very basic. There is a nice cafe(pastelaria) close to the tram stop, where you can have something nice to eat. I can recommend this place if you are travelling on a budget.

good location, excellent staff
We have stayed at this hotel every easter for the past five years. During that time we have seen positive changes, from a very basic hotel needing an update, to a comfortable and very clean 2star hotel. The staff are excelent, friendly and helpful and the reception staff speak very good English. The rooms are basic but clean and have flat screen TV and plenty of hot water, though the beds are a bit hard. The rooms are small but are a good place to lay your head after a day in Porto. There is a metro station a few yards away to take you into Porto and various cafes around the neigbourhood that sell the most delicious cakes and coffee. We normally walk into Porto which is about 30min walk downhill, and not for the faint hearted as it is tough on the way back, but plenty of hostilaries to ease the journey. There are a few restuarants in the vincinty of the hotel but most of the cafes close at about 9pm. Good value for money

Excellent value, reasonable (but
Excellent value, reasonable (but cold) breakfast included. Only 100m from the frequent metro link so the centre of Porto is reached in 20 mins from leaving the hotel. Quadruple glazing to windows of rooms on the main road so no problems with noise.
