Loved the art deco feel of the place. The gardens are beautiful and really well designed- had an excellent breakfast and had to have another coffee as the garden was so nice. The bed was really comfortable. Location was excellent. Would come back.

Fantastic location in heart of Porto. Lovely large room, very comfortable large bed, wonderful staff. Historic building adds to charm as small enough to feel the culture and close to everything.

Very friendly staff and decent rooms overall. Location was also quite convenient. However, there were no conditioners provided for free, they charge 1.50EUR for that; the shampoo also felt very diluted; the cleaning staff didn’t really clean in too much detail, left my towel still on the bedsheets which I intended to get rid of.

I loved the hot shower, comfortable bed, large towels. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Might be nice to offer alittle variation in the breakfast. Very much appreciated staff allowing us to check in alittle early since we had no sleep on plane. We checked out early so they could accommodate other travelers. First class hotel in nice location.

I did a lot of research prior to booking my hotel as a I was a cautious solo female traveller. I let the staff know I wouldn’t be arriving until after midnight and they assured me that the reception desk was 24 hours and someone would be there to check me in. I was so pleasantly surprised by the size of my room especially for Europe. The room was clean. Had large towels and great water pressure in the shower. The AC worked great and the room stayed at a moderate temp while I was out (you have to insert your key once back to turn on the AC/ lights etc). The doors to the hotel lock after 11pm and to my surprise I met people and stayed our later than that- I just had to ring the doorbell and someone came to let me in once I gave my name- easy! The location was perfect and the price was right! Couldn’t be happier and felt completely safe during my stay. I also learned this was the oldest hotel in Porto which is neat too. Would highly recommend!

Crispy clean. Super helpful ladies at the reception, warm and accommodating of any requests (like getting me a charger or umbrella or keeping bags extra, helping with directions etc) . Great location for real rest, away from crowds but super convenient with short walking distance to anything. Would stay again if I travel solo or couple . For the price its a gem in this location.

The hotel is greatly situated. Value for money. All is good. The facility is slightly old. Biggest problem is noise not insulated. Street noise till 4-5am in the morning. It could be because of the World Cup but definitely could invest in better window insulation. Uber does not go directly infront of the hotel so you may climb 3 minutes with luggage- consider if you are using heavy luggage. Elevator on site.

Great location, lovely room, very clean, helpful staff. I booked one night and ended up staying three nights. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Didn’t eat at hotel so can’t comment on food. Was a little noisy at weekend, ask for garden room for quieter room.

The hotel was excellent , situated on one of Porto’s many steep streets . The staff were friendly and helpful . My single room was very comfortable and perfectly suited my needs . Excellent shower ,( a small problem with the glass shower door was rectified as soon as I reported it - excellent service ! ) The bed (and pillows in particular !) were very comfortable and the room had a full length widow opening onto a small balcony . I used taxis frequently and the staff on reception were very efficient at booking these at short notice . I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel , and would certainly use it again on a return trip to Porto .
