Andrè who checked us in gave us lots of information about the area, which were good restaurants and places to visit the hotel was in a great location on a side road so very quiet at night but literally a minutes walk to the river and plenty of restaurants a great location and a great host.

We stayed here for two nights before flying home, coming to Porto by bus after finishing the Camino de Santiago - so a big contrast in luxury from Camino hostels! Our first visit to Portugal, and quite blown away by the beauty of Porto. This accommodation is perfectly situated for the riverside and the Port Houses, a big climb up to the old city, or use the wonderful cable-car. The people who run Charm were extremely helpful and welcoming, and took care of the check-in and check-out details for us - so I didn't need to be too techie and do it all online - though that is easy for those who like such things! Also very helpful in recommending restaurants, a Port House visit, advice on Metro etc. (plus the hidden elevator in the carpark!). We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment, but it looked good. The room was delightful, very modern and slightly quirky, and very clean, and there was even a small decanter of port to welcome us. Also, after checkout, we could leave our packs there until time to go to the airport. Well deserving of five stars.

Nossos dias foram perfeitos, desde a excelente recepção com todas as informações sobre a cidade (locais para visitar, restaurantes, transportes, viagens e todas as dicas para a melhor experiência possível). Iniciar o dia com um café da manhã delicioso, depois passear sabendo onde poderíamos curtir o melhor da cidade. Ainda recebemos diversas informações por e-mail e nossa acomodação era linda, limpa e de muito bom gosto. O Ricardo e a Pâmela foram queridos, cordiais e nos acolheram com muito carinho. Auf der Gaia-Seite des Douro gelegen, ganz in der Nähe vom Flussufer mit Blick auf Porto, bietet das kleine Hotel einen wunderschönen Schlafplatz und ein gutes Frühstück als Tischbuffet. Die Zimmer waren sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet, das Bett bequem. Einzig die Tatsache, dass es keinen Smart-TV gibt, ist etwas, was verbessert werden kann. Ansonsten würden wir jederzeit wiederkommen. ;)

We loved this small boutique feel property. Great location on the Gaia (south) side of the river. Truly exceptional service by Carla the host. She was amazing and helpful in every way. Along with the nicely appointed rooms, Carla really made our stay. The only regret we had was that we didn't plan to stay longer! Thank you Carla for making our first trip to Porto memorable. The most memorable and best experience of my Porto trip was staying at Charm GH by YourPorto. The location is amazing. The best view of Porto just few yards away. You can walk to the river and the iconic metal bridge. The room is extremely clean and beautifully setup. The bathroom, the towels, the bedsheets, pillows are all extremely clean and meet the luxury hotel standards. Healthy breakfast with fresh fruits, egg, bakery, cheese…orange juice, tea, and coffee. Carla is so friendly. I highly recommend stay here when you go to Porto.

The hotel is truly charming with its stone walls and lovely lobby. Carla, the reception/manager was most helpful and gave great advice on where to go. The room was on the first floor, and she helped me with my suitcases as there is no elevator. The room was spacious and had stone walls with a little patio. I loved this place! You need to schedule breakfast in advance, and it was a delightful array of great things set at tables in the lobby in the mornings. It was a short walk to the waterfront with so many restaurants and shopping places along the Douro River, and of course, magnificent views of Porto across the river. There are at least a dozen port or wine cellars about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I only stayed two nights, and if I had known how interesting Gaia is, I would have scheduled two more nights here.
