Hyatt House Portland/Downtown

Hyatt House Portland/Downtown

8/10 Good
"Room was clean and relatively quiet. Heard some footsteps from the floor above, but not bad compared to other hotels. Pluses - a good shower and very modern interior. However, the room had a few malfunctioning items that should be fixed or replaced - the coffee maker, which didn't work at all, and the microwave, which locked itself and got stuck multiple times. I raised these issues with the front desk staff, who were pleasant and going to notify the maintenance staff. Valet parking was pretty expensive-$55 so we opted to park at a nearby lot instead, which was a bit inconvenient. Breakfast was decent - not great, but fairly standard items - eggs, salsas, toast, bagels, etc. However, the breakfast area wasn't very clean. I had to wipe down our table beforehand cause of lots of spills. Would we stay here again? Honestly, probably not. It was a fairly generic hotel experience and next time I'm in Portland, I'd probably opt for someplace near Powell's with more character."

"We stay here when we have an event at Moda center. Love the location and vibe of the place. The food at the rooftop restaurant is great! Drinks are unique and strong! Love the coffee bar/cefe in the morning. The only negative is that the shower doesn’t have great water pressure but it does get nice and hot."
