Beware when booking Tradewinds!

We stayed at Tradewinds in December 2019, which was fine. However the booking for January 2020 (which I paid for in July 2019) was changed by ‘someone’ and we were put into an awful place (Whispering Coral) for 1 night then another place (Seachange) for 2 nights, without any consideration of what we wanted. Very unsatisfactory! In future I will not book & pay for any accommodation in advance!

My stay here was 12 days and I loved every day of it. Beautiful view. I had a room close to the entrance which was helpful as I am unable to walk a long distance. My apartment was clean and neat. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Problem solved

Tradewinds was actually overbooked due to a booking issues with hotels.com The owner Ian was fantastic at accommodating us anyway and found us another place to stay. Ian offers reasonable prices and lovely service. I would recommend staying at tradewinds or his other resort seachange

Very accomodating

Was thrown into this motel at the last minute due to failed Wotif/Expedia bookings. The owner has been very helpful due to my bookings being a moving target. The staff have also moved around me during a difficult time. The property is outside the central city which makes the climate a lot more livable

Central but private

A lovely setting with a pool and attractive gardens. The units are cool, clean,very roomy and have great kitchens. It's easy to walk to town and a 500Vt ride home. The only downside is the noise in the morning; roosters, dogs, traffic and people as it is in suburbia. Excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing place to enjoy a holiday

We arrived at the same time as Cyclone Donna so the 1st couple of day we spent more time in the unit than what we would have liked. In the times when the rain stopped we were able to easily walk to the C.B.D. of Port Villa to stock up with supplies. In this time Ian made sure we were comfortable and offered to show us round and take us out to eat. When the sun returned Ian arranged tours and gave us information of places of interest we could visit. Also Ian's information on what you should pay for Taxi and Buses was much appreciated.

Would not recommonmend it to a dog power went off had to more my daughter moved 3 times water went off air conditioning not good manger went into out room to turn ligts and air con off we left air on as it was so hot we wanted cool room on aur return. pool green.over priced for what we got

Tradewinds resort Port-Vila

Très tranquille,pas très loin du centre ville à pied.N'est pas directement auprès du lagon comme le laisse supposer le plan :accès au bord du lagon par un autre hôtel(le Poppies).Prêt gratuit de kayaks,y compris bi- place.Patronne très gentille et serviable. Coin cuisine bien équipé ,mais pas de provision à acheter sur place.Piscine et barbecue dans le petit jardin.En résumé très bon rapport qualité-prix.
