Very good location for central Port of Spain. A good selection of restaurants, bars etc within 5 minutes walk to the Savannah. High standard of cleanliness. The apartments have all yoiu need including a kitchen, AC , small balcony , TV etc. Helpful staff. Overall good value for money considering the location

More of a motel feel. Dogs barking all night, staff very loud and cussing and arguing during the days with each other; kitchen utensils - dirty cups with aging coffee stains, cutlery very old and bended -; bed fittings are two flat sheets, by morning one wakes up lying on the mattress, an old comfortable in the closet which is suitable as a doggie blanket. The bathroom has a flimsy shower curtain with hooks that falls off. The street smells of garbage plus locals are hanging out night and day - putting one on edge for their safety. Hot water and A/C worked. The titled floor in the room is clean (but cold on the feet at night). Best to pay $20US extra to chain hotel, for a more enjoyable and secured stay.

Not What’s Expected

Upon arrival, I was given a room without a balcony, as advertised. Then, when I went out the back door to smoke in the patio, I got locked out, cause lock froze. I had to squeeze through locked gate to get help from office She couldn’t fix it, so, could not get out door until maintenance took care of it the next morning. Later that evening, lock froze up again, and door would not open. Health hazard, and frustrating not getting what’s advertised, then it being in such poor condition. It’s dated and not at all what I expected when I think of a suite.

I enjoyed my stay at this suite, the location is great and peaceful. In the afternoon you can walk to the park and enjoy a sweet ice cone from haagen daasz or mac donald and even tgi friday. It is also good to go from there to the malls and downtown. The only thing that i missed in the area is a supermarket that is a little bit closer than the massy store. The other thing is that when my boyfriend and I arrived at the place we had to wait because the front desk was not open so the lady had to go and get the keys. I also would recommend that the welcoming to your new guest could be much better because the lady was a little cold in her welcoming us. I also would like that they invent a kind of time sharing or card member for peoples who visit sun deck suites more often. I hope that sun deck suites rises and be kept secure and I surely would love to stay again at sundeck suites.

Short stay in Woodbrook

Staff was very accommodating. The room size was great including a cute balcony. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen. A double bed wasn’t available we had twin beds not bad. The location is perfect for everything, restaurants, bars, churches, transportation all within a five minute walk.

Convenient location, safe and friendly

I stay at Sun Deck Suites each time I go to Trinidad - this was my 4th stay, very convenient location just outside the downtown - a short 30 min walk right down to South Quay. I love having the option to prepare meals but generally get coffee and breakfast stuff and eat lunch and dinner on the go. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful and the room kept very clean. For the price it is the best deal for a working visit. Tourists may of course prefer somewhere more upmarket but for my needs it is perfect. There is parking too for those who want to brave the narrow busy streets and of course left-hand drive.
