Couple getaway

IHG is brand well known & familiar. We chose this hotel for its location & hotel facilities. The rooms in the tower wing are the best, recently refurbished with a tasteful finish. Water pressure can at times be a challenge but otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We love the Holiday Inn for it's family apartments, wonderful breakfasts, and of course, the pool! The one toilet didn't work when we first arrived, but maintenance came and got it functioning, though it continued to run. The housekeeping staff are always friendly.

Quick Weekend Getaway

Centrally locted to shopping precint. Hotel facilities are great & offers all you need during your stay with the coffee shop & F&B outlets. We stayed in King room room with balcony perfect for a glass of wine in the evening to catch the sunset. The only inconvenience is the consistent lock out from our room due to the electronic key card failing to work. Otherwise we highly recommend the Holiday Inn Hotel.

Mini Staycation

This was our second stay at the Holiday Inn. The first stay in the tower room was wonderful, but this second stay was in the older wing of the hotel. The room was tired looking, the bathroom needs regrouting done & bathroom refurbishment. The bed sagged in the middle & made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. I was told beds in that wing are yet to be replaced. I had to follow up with front office more than 3 times to confirm we could be moved to a refurbished room as we were staying for 5 nights. So greatful they did.

I've left a google review about this but overall I've rated the hotel a 3 due to some requests not being met in a timely manner or not at all. Overall I would stay here again. I grew up in PNG and spent alot of time at the Holiday Inn a.k.a Islander hotel back then. I stayed in 2 types of rooms while being in Port Moresby. The serviced apartments are fantastic and I would highly recommend them for a family stay. The standard rooms in the main tower are not up to par. The AC wasn't effective compared to the one in the serviced apartment side which was a fridge. I have a lot of hope for this hotel. It has the potential to get all 5 star reviews with a few small changes.

There is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up and down the stairs. There was a discrepancy between the booking on the app and the hotel's system. I will not stay there again.
