My room was small, the furniture was scarred, there were no face cloths in the bathroom, the toilet was wobbly, the windows dirty. My friend stayed at the same place at the same time and had a much better room, for only ten dollars more. Her experience was better than mine, but the place is well located on the harbourfront, next to a coffee shop, and the check in girl was nice.

There was nothing particularly special but the staff was efficient when we checked in and my room was bigger than I thought with well-stocked amenities like soap ,conditioner shampoo, hair dryer, lots of towels. Lots of pillows, a big bed ,small fridge, microwave and coffee making appliances that I didn't use. The suite was bigger and more modern than I had been anticipating seems like they had just done a renovation or something.

Don't stay in room 7 as you will not be able to sleep. Two heat systems beside your room going all night long as well as tin hitting tin when the wind blows from different angles. We asked for another room but was told there was one.

Bed very comfortable, good view and location. Black mould in the windows, hot and stuffy, had to ask for toilet paper and soap, crack and hole in the bathroom sink which didn’t drain, shower just shut off mid shower, coffee pot didn’t work, housekeeping took all the plastic glasses away and didn’t replace. Check in was confusing, done at a bar by a new server who didn’t know anything. We were booked into the Sportsman Inn, ended up in the McNeill Inn, old building in need of updating. All got blamed on Expedia. Would only stay in sportsman inn next time, a newer building

This room at McNeill’s Inn (1 of 2 buildings at the property) may have had some older appliances and furniture,(coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, table, chairs) but everything you need for a comfortable stay was there. The pillows were excellent and abundant, and the linens and towels were great. The staff in the pub where you check in were very welcoming. There is also a coffee shop, microbrewery, and several restaurants within walking distance. The food at the pub was delicious and speedy, and with energetic servers, it’s no wonder it is a local favourite. A great place to play some pool, watch some sports, and even dance when the tunes bump and the disco ball comes on later in the evening!

The check-in process was confusing. Parts of the room have been updated but some of the furniture is pretty beat up. There was no chair or table in my room. The bed was fairly comfortable if not a bit soft. Tv is small. I wasn’t told how to check out so asked at the pub where a helpful young woman explained the process. It was on ok stay.

It was a bit of a strange place. We had booked with the Sportsman’s Inn but they gave us a room at the McNeill Inn. There was a view of the water but directly in front was a parking lot with cars driving through from the coffee place & people walking by. The furniture was in rough shape but overall the room was clean but smaller than we expected. Basically it was a weird set up.

Our expectation is low since we’re in a small town. However, at time of check in, one used towel was hanging at back of bathroom door and used coffee left in coffee maker. Check in procedure was ok, it was done in a restaurant in separate building.
