Wonderful stay

The hotel is very clean and well kept, and the staff are so helpful. They go above and beyond. I was a solo female traveling and when I got back to the hotel late, they came out as I’m getting out of the car to accompany me back to the hotel. Also in a nice location and area, I walk around by myself to the supermarket and restaurants, feel quite safe in Summerstrand.

The best customer service!

Our stay was brief, just overnight. However, the customer service we received went above and beyond. At 9:45pm I called the manager on duty, Wendy, and explained that I had been calling for an hour and no taxi companies would answer their phones and Uber said there were no rides available between 6 & 7am the following morning. I was beside myself as four of us needed to catch a flight at 8:30am. Wende kindly offered to make two airport trips...one at 5:30 and one at 6am so we didn't miss our flight! She also made us a bagged breakfast of a ham & egg sandwich, an orange, and a juice box. Wish we could have stayed longer! The facilities were clean and our room very nice. Thank you, Wendy!

This is a good choice. However if you are looking for a modern place, this will not be for you. Old style and old type of guesthouse. Everything was clean and good.

It was great.

The WiFi was slow (could not Skype my business meeting) so had to hotspot my mobile. Everything else was GREAT!!! Will stay there again.

Cape Flame is THE place to stay in Port Elizabeth

It was my second time to stay at Cape Flame, and I will be happy to stay again. It's quiet. the staff is friendly. The location is an easy walk to the beach with lots of food and drink options. The wifi is good. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are comfortable for a good night's sleep.

Great Value for Conference Trips

Cape Flame was excellent value near the Boardwalk complex. Great for attending a conference at the Boardwalk and at NMU. Room was clean and tidy with good amenities, if a little dated in the bathroom. Included breakfast was a nice touch. Will stay again.

Cape Flame is a great place to stay

Everything is good about the Cape Flame. All of the staff are both very professional and very friendly. The breakfast is simply delicious. The room was quiet and very comfortable. I hope to stay there again on subsequent visits to Port Elizabeth.

Nice hotel with great service

It's a simple but nice hotel, very good service and good breakfast. The location is very good since you are at walking distance from the beach, restaurants, bars and the summerstrand in general.

Pre flight stay in Port Elizabeth

This was just a quick overnight stay before catching an early morning flight the next day. The receptionist was very helpful and arranged a breakfast pack for us as we would be leaving before breakfast.

Service with a smile, excellent room and location

Cape Flame is ideally situated a short stroll to the beachfront as well as around the corner from some of the best restaurants in Port Elizabeth. Just around the corner there is a small shopping centre which houses a couple of fast food hangouts as well as other sit-down restaurants. The centre also houses a Pick ‘n Pay supermarket. Rooms are spacious and comfortably decorated with crisp linen. The mini bar fridge allows for personal drinks to be kept cool but was also stocked with other basics at a charge. Breakfasts were cooked to order with wide selection and made to perfection. It is however the staff which impressed most. They were unbelievably friendly and aimed to please with whatever request a guest could throw at them. They even offered to iron my clothes for work the next morning. Without even asking a dinner reservation was made for me. Service with a smile is their offering to every guest. Best value for money, great service and also ideally situated.
