Such a wonderful relaxing place to stay. Restaurant on site really nice, spa pools a lovely bonus. Such a beautiful part of the Coromandel. Would definitely recommend this property.

Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is amazing! The room was huge and had everything you could need and more. The bush walk to the swimming-hole was so cool as well. Had dinner and a massage onsite. Both were wonderful. Definately coming back again! Host was also very helpful and kind.

Need a vacation from your vacation? Tangiaro Retreat is the spot. The cabins are possibly the nicest we enjoyed in years and the staff is more than accommodating. The food (including oysters) was marvelous or bring your own provisions. The porch is the perfect spot to spend an evening with a bottle of wine, the bird calls and vistas of the surrounding forest and your family/partner. If you don’t spend a week here, you will wish you had.

Lovely environment and spacious rooms. Beds were extremely comfortable. We attended on 30 degree days and although they provided a fan, air-conditioning would have made it more comfortable. Cafe didn't open until 10am which was a very late coffee for morning people. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

It was amazing hearing kiwi sounds at night so close to us and the property was so nice, efficient and clean. Short walks were amazing, the manager David was fantastically helpful. Would love to come back here again, already recommended to family members.

Beautiful quiet retreat and wonderful open air spa in the evening... heard a male kiwi call only thirty seconds after going outside to listen for one... hard to beat! Staff were lovely and very helpful.

A very special peaceful setting. This was our second stay at Tangiaro and we will be back. Meal on Friday evening was excellent and price of meal and bar very reasonable. Stoney Bay Craft beer great.

It was like driving into a resort. Totally relaxing amongst nature. Staff are super friendly. Walk to the creek and a dip in the pool was so refreshing. Spa and massage area was heaven. Restaurant and cafe was beautiful. Beautiful and serene place and very private. Wish we had stayed more days.

The property was a relaxed haven as described. The reception hours are very tight but there always seemed to be someone to help us out outside of working hours. There was a small mixup with one of the spas but everything else was great. Perfect to explore the Coromandel peninsula.

A lovely place to stay but need to make it clear that no meals are served after 5pm on a Sunday as closest shop 2hour drive away on bad roads. We were fortunate to catch staff before they left and were able to get some food to prepare ourselves They were very accommodating.
