"Such a lovely place to stay with a courtyard for off-road parking. The Italian owner helpfully spoke good English. He said he also spoke other languages as well. "Our family had an incredible stay at this property. The views and the property itself were breathtaking! The terraced vegetable garden was so beautiful to explore and we enjoyed the pool and the solarium with the hot tub very much. We felt very relaxed while on the Villa. Our room was comfortable and spacious for our family of three (two adults and one young adult).
Richard was an incredible host. From the very beginning he made our stay comfortable. He was present to answer any questions and tell a good story. The staff were warm and attentive to any needs we had.

"The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured.
It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving.
Rooms were not air conditioned but you do get a oscillating fan!
