I had an excellent stay at the Parador de Pontevedra. The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic palace in the heart of the old town, making it a perfect stop for anyone visiting the city or walking the Camino de Santiago.

Clean room staff amazing but the breakfast I don’t like it and the noise in the room is very loud because the floor for all rooms is wooden and make noise a lot when the people walk around, but really beautiful this hotel

Parador is a beautiful antique hotel to stay in Pontevedra. The staff was excellent- kind and able to all speak english to me. The rooms and gardens are beautiful. I do wish there was a kettle in the room for morning coffee. 10/10 recommend

It felt old and tired. The front desk was very rude when we checked in. There was no tea or coffee service in the room and after discussions with the kitchen they said we could call for a coffee after 8 a.m. as room service. We did. They delivered nescaffe cappuccinos and charged us €14. Feels like the place is mostly for big events. No outlets by the beds.

Property feels tired — but the room was clean with good bedding and a nice bathroom; however, old TV and no free bottled water (only small pay-for bottles in the fridge). Staff were nice and helpful when they were responsive. Parking is inconvenient as it’s under the market, which is about a five-minute drive away.

What can you say that hasn’t already been said? The Parador Hotel Chain is extraordinary. Their refurbished castles, convents and monasteries are amazing. One better than the next, if you are in Spain, I highly recommend staying in one of their exceptional hotels.
