Beautiful, private hotel stay, great location.

We loved the location of this hotel for driving to various locations on the island as well as the security and privacy. We chose the room with the private hot tub, Vila 4. The check in and check out process was pretty seamless!

We had a wonderful stay at Vilas do Olival! The location is super convenient, just a short drive from Ponta Delgada, making it a great base for exploring São Miguel. Our host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. But what really stood out were Sofia and Tania, the lovely ladies who took such great care of our villa. They made sure everything was always spotless, clean, and comfortable. Their hard work and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciated it! We also loved having our own private jacuzzi! It was such a treat to come back and relax after long days of exploring and hiking around the island. Having a kitchen was another big plus, as we could prepare our own breakfast every morning before heading out for another day of adventures. Overall, a beautiful and peaceful place to unwind while enjoying everything São Miguel has to offer. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

The vila was perfect. Well equipped, clean and spacious. It is located 10 minutes from the port and close to the highway. The island is easily accessible from the vila. The staff (manager and housekeeper) were more than helpful. If we go back to Punts Delgada we will return to the Vilas dos Olivas without a doubt!

Perfect Getaway

Place was just as pictured. Clean. Ideal location. Comfiest beds we had in our 5 week vacation. Staff had limited English, but decent French (and significantly better than my Portuguese), so overall no difficulties communicating with them. They were very responsive on WhatsApp and willing to help with booking excusions, willing to provide information. Very happy with our stay (except for the weather, but can’t control when storms decide to pass by).

Comfortable Stay

We were pretty disappointed when we arrived to find out our villa didn’t have a hot tub like the photos advertised, the reason we had booked in the first place was because of that. I’m not sure how you can get one with a hot tub, you most likely have to request it before booking. Also we weren’t able to watch tv because the remote was missing. Other than that the stay was comfortable and nice, very quiet and very close to the airport.
