We absolutely loved the Temple Hotel, it had a Knights Templar theme, from being ‘greeted’ by a suit of armour in reception, to iron braziers for the lights, medieval style furniture and pictures, even the key to the bedroom was an iron ‘Tau’ - all in homage to the spectacular Knights Templar Castle in Ponferrada. In addition the rooms were comfortable, the welcome was warm, and breakfast was a veritable feast worthy of any knights!

The hotel was in a good location close to restaurants, supermarket and bus stops. Unfortunately, there is a big problem with bed bugs.Having read ( just now) some of the recent reviews I suspect they are in most of the rooms. The hotel probably needs to shut down for a while to have time to truly take care of the problem. The cleaning ladies clearly clean, but that is not enough for this kind of an issue. I got bitten two nights in a row and barely slept. I don't recommend this place for this reason.

Not a 4*

Very old and poor condition. It badly needs to be refurbished. I cannot believe it is a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was cheap but you get what you pay. On the other hand the staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel was beautiful and the perfect walking distance from everything in town! It was clean and always felt safe. The staff spoke some English & were always kind about our lack of Spanish knowledge. We loved it!

A hotel bar that had no white wine for sale. Room was fine along with reception who helped me book an extra days stay during a busy time.

Unfortunately the last remodel of this facility was probably 1960. This is a modern city with real hotels. I can’t suggest this to be anything more than a modest Albergue that obviously has private rooms

This is not a 4 star hotel. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. We were unable to have dinner at the restaurant because they were too busy with the bigger groups. Tried for 15 min to have the dinner we had booked in our reservation, then went to another restaurant. Money wasted, would never come here again.

Worst stay in Spain!

Worst hotel I have stayed at in Spain. They have horrible customer service. Wifi is impossible to connect to. Hotel backs up to a loud street. No a/c and my window would not open. Walls are paper thin. You can hear every conversation of people next door and above you. I had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night to go to a different one, I am so glad I did. The front desk was horrible and unhelpful.

No volvere

Have 20 años me aloje en el hotel duramte una temporada y esta ultima estancia me ha hecho ver que se han quedado en el medievo. Antiguo, oscuro, anclado en el pasado Tampoco respetan la legalidad. Esta prohibido copiar el dni y te las bes y deseas para que no lo hagan. El desayuno son 10,90€ y si lo tienes contratado y no puedes ir a desayunar, te dan una bolsa con un bocadillo de chorizo, una botella de agua y un zumo en brick... todo ello no supera los 3€ La habitacion terrible. Todo se maneja con interruptores de la decada de los 80 en la pared y el baño esta lleno de agujeros en la pared de haber tenido cosas puestas y no haber tenido cuidado a la hora de retirsrlos. La bañera parecia que acababa de pasar el sarampion, foda llena de marcas. El agua caliente sin presion. Horrible

Schönes Schlosshotel. Zimmer ausreichend groß, schön leise trotz Straße vor dem Fenster. Service unterscheidet sich von teils freundlich und zuvorkommend zu lustlos und abweisend. Interkontinentales Frühstück und abends die Möglichkeit im Restaurant mit wechselnden Angebot zu nutzen (Preis 16,-, 3 Gänge Menü, top Preis Leistung, inklusive Getränk)
